I was Immediately impressed by the huge selection of batteries and accessories. The store had a lot of stock but still was spaced well for my wheelchair to access. The staff was very knowledgeable, pleasant, and helpful. Felix helped us to order the needed batteries and was very professional following up to inform us when they arrived (next day). When we returned he was nice enough to help my wife change the batteries and dispose of the old ones. They have a little bit of everything. I've always been able to locate hard-to-find batteries here. They also sell light bulbs, but I'm kind of disappointed that they don't carry the Philips Hue smart bulbs. I feel like, if you're going to call yourself "Batteries Plus Bulbs" you should have it all. Needing a 6V heavy duty battery for a lantern, I stopped in here at Batteries Plus Bulbs while running errands yesterday. I forgot that the no sales tax holiday for purchasing hurricane supplies was in effect. Which explains why the place was packed. There were a lot of people standing around. With no form of a line, it made matters confusing, with everyone wondering who is next for assistance. And to make matters worse, there was one customer holding up the line asking stupid questions. Kind of like being at one of those food kiosks at EPCOT. I was just waiting for a customer to ask for a free cup of ice water. Anyway, there were two employees working the register, and the line finally started to move. A fine young man working the register was able to ring up my purchase, and I was out the door. And no sales tax on the purchase! As a reminder, the no sales tax holiday on hurricane supplies ends on Thursday, June 6. But if you miss it, you should still be able to buy items to get ready for hurricane season. And Batteries Plus Bulbs is always stocked with batteries for any device. I bought 6 6v golf cart batteries online last October. On arrival to pick up my new Duracell's the store loaded 6 Trojan Blacks in my truck. Didn't think much of it til I was home. Installed them and the golf cart ran fine so let it be. Three days after one year later one of the Blacks gave up a post twisted loose from its plate. We went to have a new battery installed in my husband's watch (9$ since his Fossil requires two batteries). HORRIBLE experience tonight! I have never been more offended or disgraced by an employee. I stopped by this location tonight at 7:45pm to replace two batteries. When asked what I wanted I explained that I spoke to Carlos on phone and what I needed. This employee was rude from the start. Informed me he could only prepare one battery to pick one. I did then he rings up and says come back tomorrow can't do it. I informed him I have a birthday trip and can't come back just refund me. He then mislead me telling me he closed register and have to come back for refund tomrrow too. He was so rude and walked to parking lot to install car battery until 8:35 well after closing. I stood and waited the entire time. Told him we need resolution by a refund or upgrade battery or fix one he committed too before I purchased. He told me leave or calling cops and used profanity. I spent 45 minutes at Batteries Plus Bulbs on Colonial today. I came in with a bag full of items that needed to be tested, repaired or have batteries replaced. I am so impressed with the level of professionalism I found. I had one item that had to be taken apart and practically reconstructed just to get batteries into it. The associates working today (Felix and I think Mike) went above and beyond and never lost their patience once. Maybe you can buy batteries and bulbs cheaper on the internet but it's worth the few extra pennies to know you've purchased the right product for your device and it works before you leave the store. Worst retail experience I've ever had. I purchased a battery for my cellphone and was told that I could return it for any reason w/in the next year. After 31 days I brought it back because my cellphone was overheating and dying. I left the battery for four hours for them to test it. Four hours later they told me it wasn't the battery it was my phone. That they would not take it back. I purchased another battery online. Since I've switched to that one my phone is no longer overheating or dying. I wasted my money in this store and they did not uphold what I was told at time of purchase. I will NEVER return!
