My watch(gift from an old friend) died so I took it to batteries plus on Washington Road, Martinez, because I previously purchased the battery replacement program for my watch, meaning no cost. Very good customer service there. Turns out the battery was still good but an arm inside the watch misplaced, causing the battery to unseat and disconnect. He fixed that, also put in a new battery and I was on my way. He even drew a sketch to show me what happened and admitted he was puzzled too. You can't beat this place for good service and information. While I was waiting, I looked around and noted possible Christmas gifts for young men in my family and at good prices. Need negative stars, I ordered a key and then they said it was the wrong one. So new key comes in and my wife goes up there and price went from 145.00 to 240.00 then my wife's car starts messing up, all dash lights are staying on and they said that she had to take it to Honda and we would have to pay for repairs. Most likely shorten out the ecm and that's not cheap. Plus we would be without a car while it getting fixed. So I would stay as far away as possible from letting them do anything to your car. Next part three days later, first he said he was the store manager and wanted information about what happened on Friday so I told him and then sent invoice from Honda and tow fee. Then same person called back and said he was the owner and could only give me a key and reprogram it. So he wants me to take a 140.00 key over 200.00 bill from Honda dealership and tow fee. He stated getting really rude. Then said he was the owner. So he lied also. So I called corporate to see what can be done. Definitely bad business. read more

I brought my phone in to have the screen repaired. I paid $430 for a new screen and came back an hour later to pick it up. They gave me back a phone with the back plate literally falling off the phone. I told them to fix it because it wouldn't even fit in my case. They went to the back and brought it to me and it was still loose! I sent it back for a second time and it was yet again STILL not secured to the back of my phone to the point that I could fit my whole fingernail between the back plate and the phone. I gave up and decided I'd just do it myself when I got home. Upon getting home, I noticed that the volume buttons no longer worked. I had to go back to the store and tell them to fix it for a third time. After a 4 hour ordeal, I have a phone that looks like it was fixed by a kindergarten arts and crafts class and $500 poorer. I was very disappointed during my last visit. I came in to get replacement coin style battery for my kitchen scale and to drop off a small box of home use batteries for recycling. Young man got up somewhat slowly from his seat I think I was interrupting his smart phone use and asked if I needed help. I explained what I was there for. His comment was we don't recycle and you can't get any money for those. I explained I did not want money but thought that since the store sold items containing toxins surely they had a way to safely recycle or dispose of items. He took the box from me and shoved it under the counter. I am reasonably sure it was destined for the trash can as soon as I left. Sad really sad. As an additional comment the battery I needed only came in a two pack for $7.99. Pretty sure the next time I need a replacement 3-4 years from now the second battery won't be any good. read more

I was very disappointed in the service that I received at this location on 2 different visits. I came in to get a key fob programmed for my Chevy impala and it took almost 2 hours. I had my 1 year old with me because I didn't think it would take so long. That day the associate were not able to complete my service and told me to come back because they saw I had a child with me that was restless. None of the features of my car would work. I had to place the key fob in the console. When I got home and tried to go out later my car wouldn't start. The car was still in program mode and promoted me to place key in console. After putting all the keys in I finally was able to get the car to start. I went back to order a key fob which was suppose to come in within 3 days and took over a week. When the key got in they gave me a call and I asked how long do they expect it take to program. They stated about 15-20 mins. I waited about 30 mins and it wasn't completed so I asked someone at the desk on the estimated time and they said 30 mins. After about 45 mins they came in and said they will have to do it again and it will take another 30 mins. I had to get to work so it made it a major inconvenience but I waited an additional 40 mins. When it was completed I was handed my keys with no type of remorse for the inconvenience. I got to my car and saw the door key cover was not reassembled, it was found sitting on the seat just as my first visit. I started my car and noticed a security icon on my dash. I went back in to ask the advisor about it and he seemed not to care about it. He told me it should go away and as along as it goes in drive it's okay. Subpar customer service. read more

Went in to get my mom's iPad mini screen fixed. They were able to look it over to determine the damage and give me a clear price. They didn't have the part in house so I had to wait for it to be ordered and delivered which required at least 1/2 of the total paid. Not a problem. I paid the total so there would be no delay when the part came in. Decided to keep the iPad with me until then. Went in on a Wednesday evening and told I'd be called by Friday. Friday came and no call. I called them and was told the part was in. I got busy that day and took the iPad in on Monday only to find out the part wasn't there. So I was told. So again I had to wait an extra day for them to get the part. This time I left the iPad and the following day it was delivered and the iPad fixed. I hate to speculate but honestly, I think the part was there and it was used to fix someone else's iPad. It's the only thing that makes sense if someone checked and it was there and two fays later it's gone. I'm only taking away one star because ultimately they did a good job. No, it wasn't convenient to have to go there 3 times. If they used the part, which they shouldn't have, they should have gotten a replacement part right away. I'm glad I didn't wait until the last minute because I needed it fixed for her before taking my road trip to Texas. That would have been a problem for me. read more

Don't take your electronics to this place First off they don't honor what they say I was given a quote of 120.00 to fix my iPads but after they finished they charged me 149.00 ..If you tell someone you will do it at that price don't change it after it's done ..I took my iPad there with a broken screen that worked find except it was broke when I got it back nothing worked on it . I got a refund for that iPad but I paid a lot of money for that iPad ,I just wished I had taken it to someone that could fix it instead of making it worst .....I should have taken it to CPR ...it's in the same shopping center. read more

I took my iPhone 11 to get my front and back screen fixed and they agreed to do it for 267 and put a new lense on my camera because that was also messed up. they were done the same day and everything seemed fine. I picked the device up right at closing so I figured all would be good. that was not the case. When I got home, I realized my volume buttons no longer worked. The next morning, I took my device up there to see if they could get it working like it did before I took it in. They said they'll look into it. When I came for the pickup they said they couldn't fix it and I can't no type of reimbursement or anything. They said that since my screen was broke they had no dealings with the volume. They couldn't see the volume because my screen was broke but it worked perfectly fine up til they took my device. Not to mention when they ran the diagnostic test, they didn't do nothing about it and now that same diagnostic test has my phone froze up and I have to go to apple because they can't help me with that either. Mind you I am a realtor in the area and need my device to help my wonderful clients. I dont think its right and will never go back!!!! read more

During my car battery replacement visit, Josh not only was very knowlegeable of the task at hand, and provided great customer service, he also shared with me the history of Batteries Plus and the wonderful dynamics of working there. By the end of our conversation, I was ready to submit a job application!! Today, I went in to buy a battery for my scale. The associate was also extremely pleasant and very helpful. This is the ONLY business, that I've visited, where I can count on knowlegeable associates who provide outstanding customer service EACH and EVERY time! Super kudos to the owner!! I was having issues with my iPhone battery. I believed an advertised DIY battery replacement scheme. I ordered the battery with 'easy to follow instructions & all necessary tools'. Needless to say it wasn't that DIY! After taking my phone apart I couldn't get the battery out to replace it. I took my deconstructed phone to Batteries Plus Bulbs and the technicians there didn't act alarmed at what I had done and said they could probably fix it for me. Ten minutes and $10 later I was walking out of the store with an operating phone and very thankful for their courteous, prompt and extremely reasonable service. read more

I personally bought an Arcos Twisty, silver color model with push button on side to select three (3) modes, and also an adjustable beam, maybe another one to match or one in black. On a hunch, I called the store and found out that they do replace watch batteries, not just sell them. The guys in the store were very friendly. It took about ten minutes and cost less than $10! Batteries plus has a great concept and you can certainly find any battery for about anything you own, even watches. In saying that about watch batteries, I would purchase a battery from them and have the battery installed at a watch repair store ( Jewelry store). I had a hard time locating a divers watch battery here in Augusta, however batteries plus did have it in stock. I went there, had great customer service and my watch battery replaced. However, after a few days my watch fogged up and stopped working. I was later told by a watch specialist that if you have a sophisticated watch ( Divers, Rolex, etc. ) that those type of watches are best to be brought to a specialist for a battery change out. Other than that I would still patronize Batteries Plus. Also talking with friends and other owners about this subject this was not the only incident. So, fair warning, get your battery there and then take your watch to a specialist for repair. read more

Took a I phone to get the screed replaced. First screed didn't work then they broke the home button, had to replace that then found out that the fingerprint feature doesn't work because they replaced the home button. Now the cover on the home button fell off. Have calls in to the corporate offices but so far no response. So far they have not kept the promises they have made to me. Very disappointed. Think twice before you get anything done at this location AND had to pay $153.00. I will continue to edit this review with updates. Lets see if they make good on their promises. read more

I took a watch to the location on Robert C. Daniel Pkwy to have the battery replaced. The watch was not real expensive but not cheap either, and I normally take it to a jeweler to have batteries replaced, but I fell for their "lifetime battery replacement" advertising. The watch was working fine when I took it to their store - the battery was just running low. When they were done, my watch would not work anymore. I went from their store to Windsor Jewelers to have an expert look at it. They (Windsor) said that the Battery Plus technician either shocked the IC circuit in the watch from static discharge or most likely broke/damaged the coil on the movement. Windsor said that the movement could be replaced for about $125.00. When I called to talk to the store manager, he said that my watch was not working when I brought it in. I'm still trying to figure out how he could determine that since he was not in the store when I came in. Calls to Battery Plus Corporate HQ was also worthless because each store is independently operated. In short, Battery Plus turned a good watch into a paperweight. They should have admitted their mistake and corrected it. I will never use their business or will I recommend it to anyone. After this happened, I found a number of negative reviews concerning watch battery replacement for them, as well as other shady practices. I've learned a valuable lesson and in the future will take my watches and/or electronic devices to established professionals for service. read more
