Warning - I had a very concerning experience with this contractor and would strongly caution others--especially those with elderly family members.
He visited my mother's home (she's in her 70s) and verbally threw out a few numbers, but never provided a proper written quote outlining full scope and total cost. Without our approval, he went ahead and purchased tile and then attempted to charge us for it, saying he wouldn't proceed with the job unless we paid--despite there being no agreed-upon quote.
When I asked for a detailed quote, what I received was incomplete and filled with exclusions ("this does not include X, X will be extra"), making it impossible to understand the true cost of the project. When I followed up and asked for a clear, all-inclusive quote so we could properly evaluate the work and protect my mother from unexpected costs, he insisted that what he sent was sufficient--which it absolutely was not.
When I pressed for clarity, he became dismissive, said this was "too much work," refused to provide proper documentation, and hung up on me.
In my opinion, this was highly unprofessional and concerning behavior. A reputable contractor should be transparent, provide a clear scope of work, and respect clients--especially seniors who may be more vulnerable to unclear pricing.
I would not feel comfortable recommending this contractor to anyone. read more
