I'm sad to say…read morethat I had to walk out, I didn't feel comfortable with what was being preached on the platform. During the sermon when Pastor Jones was preaching, he related Satan as the 'bad guy' in the Bible & how he's a lot like The Joker & Darth Vader along with other villains. Then he shows clips of the movie: "Batman Begins" during his preaching. He read 3 scriptures in the 20 min. we stayed listening but he didn't interpret the scripture or explain much from The Bible or preaching from the word of God. He continued to talk about (his own thoughts) & different characters in movies along with relating it to our daily lives. I wanted to give the Pastor the benefit of the doubt & that's why we stayed as long as we did. I didn't want to walk out but I was very hurt & felt ashamed. It was appalling to me that they would show a movie that had nothing to do with Jesus or our God...& on the platform of the church that's in God's house! I learned more about Superheroes & Villians than anything else. I want to learn about scripture, understanding the word, & growing spiritually in my relationship with God & I don't feel I received that from this church. Maybe today was different from the Pastor's normal teachings, maybe he was trying something new, I'm not sure exactly but I wish this church the best of God's blessings.

We have people here that are at all spots in their faith journeys - who feel welcome to explore Jesus wherever they are at. While there a…read moregentleman by the name of Wade (who felt led by the Lord) told me that the joy in the Lord is my strength and to use that against the enemy the next time he attacks me. I've thought about this, everyday, over the last two weeks since the service and have used it as a weapon. I'm so thankful that brother Wade shared this with me. I wish I could tell him how much this meant to me. I also really enjoyed the evangelist! His message was very powerful.

Do NOT hire Pastor Randall Johnson to officiate a funeral for your loved ones. This man had the…read moreaudacity to preach to a room filled with devastated friends and family about how God's love can fill the "immeasurable" hole that our loved one's passing left in our hearts. Absolutely no comforting words at all for the bereaved. Sick euphemisms about jumping over the Grand Canyon to suffer the same fate as my departed friend. Preaching that we should all feel blessed that God gave up his only son, born of Virgin Mary, Jesus Christ to die violently for our sins. THIS IS NOT THE KIND OF SHIT PEOPLE NEED TO HEAR DURING A 31 year olds funeral. Absolutely appalling that he mentioned he would be the most popular guy in the room if my friend could be "resurrected and continue their life, but it wouldn't happen". That we are all sinners and will suffer the same fate as our departed loved one. I cannot stress this enough do NOT HIRE THIS MAN. I am embarrassed to be a Christian after that disgusting sermon. He should be embarrassed by his actions that he used a funeral to try and get people to understand Gods sacrifices rather than giving some comforting words for the friends and family.
