St. Paul's was built in its current location in 1872 and designed by notable Gothic church architect, Gordon Lloyd. The Gothic-style facade is made up from stones carried over sledges hauled over drawn ice along the the Flint River well over a century ago. St. Paul's initial structure was erected elsewhere in the the city in 1817. Architecturally-speaking, this particular church takes the cake. I think it not only rivals First Presbyterian, located just across the street, but rather surpasses it in terms of sheer beauty. From the gorgeous stonework and design of the intimate chapel to the stunning stained glass panels, arched doorways and intricate woodwork, this one is a work of art. Once you walk inside, you realize that it's much larger than it looks from outside appearances. It has a formal dining room that hosts receptions, a small lounge area, a kitchen and much more. In fact, for the past couple of years, the church has been participating in the city's monthly Art Walk (second Fridays of the month from 6-9 p.m.), along with Greater Flint Arts Council, Buckham Gallery and even First Presbyterian Church. They've actually hosted some pretty nice art exhibitions there as of late, usually paintings and photography, while music plays in the background. It's often a friendly crowd featuring most of the locals hobnobbing their way through Art Walk. We usually try to check out the monthly art walk receptions here as often as possible. There's never the high pressure pitch from the church members hosting events here to join their church or " or "come to worship services, get to know the Lord better," either, so that's nice. In other words, no one has ever has me if I've found Jesus or anything like that. I wish my husband and I had chosen this church over the one we did for our wedding when we got married. Sigh. Being an out of state Jewish college student it can be a little lonely when your family is far…read moreaway. When I go to MSU Hillel it really is a "home away from home" for me. Most of the friendships that I have made at MSU are from Hillel. I have met Jews from all over the state of Michigan and suprisingly a lot who are out of state students like myself. Every time I come to Hillel at MSU I am just amazed at all of the wonderful programs and events that they offer. Throughout the week, they have events such as broomball, bowling, lectures on Jewish history/politics,cooking and volunteering programs such as Tzedek and Teva that are very involved with the Lansing/East Lansing community during the year. Every Friday night, they have Shabbat reform and conservative services. Even if you are not in the mood to attend a service you can go to their delicious Shabbat meal every Friday night. During the major Jewish holidays they hold services and serve high holiday meals. Once a month on Sundays Hillel holds a brunch with all of the Jewish favorites such as bagels, lox, cream cheese, brownies, and kugel. WHO COULD ASK FOR ANYTHING MORE? In addition to all of these wonderful programs, Hillel also offers an alternative spring break trip and 2 Israel Birthright trips (winter and summer) during the year. I can not end this review without giving credit to Robyn, Cindy, Audrey and all of the staff of MSU HIllel who are so welcoming and friendly and create these amazing programs mentioned above. They are always there if you need someone to talk to or even to just say hello. MSU Hillel has to be one of my favorite groups to be apart of on campus. I look forward to coming back for the rest of my time at MSU.

Now leaving everybody stranded. Almost makes me wonder what's going on behind the curtains with the pastors or are they trying to hide something much bigger. I would be very weary of ever putting your children in this place if they ever opened back up. I hope the truth comes out and you guys get screwed.
