What I really want to do with this review is share with those who are more like me, who have never even considered something like energy work. Those who have perhaps even maligned it and thought "well, that is nonsense." Logic and analysis were more than a simple cornerstone of my life they have always been the utter foundation. So much so that I am a theoretical mathematician, so logic is how I support my family as well. In November of 2022 I was heading back to the second day of a 2-week solo beach trip from the funeral of my sister-in-law of almost 40 years, after her unexpected death. I was so weary from many "set-backs" including my own cancer and the death of a niece both in 2017. I have always been one who claimed, I can't meditate. On the drive from Charlotte back to IOP, I quite suddenly had the thought, "I am going to find someone who can help me try reiki and learn to meditate on this trip." The next morning, I typed it into Google and without reading much under each listing I simply picked the listing my intuition led me to choose. There was a short "contact us" form on which I only said something like "I am trying to learn to meditate but seem to struggle following some big events in my life such as cancer." I heard back fairly quickly and was astounded when Romain replied, "I think you might struggle with meditating at this point and likely need to consider some energy work first." I was astounded because he was so very right but how could he know that from the little I said? I saw Romain that day and for the remaining 9 weekdays of my trip. It was the beginning of what has been a life changing evolution. I made 5 trips, as opposed to my usual 2, to IOP in 2023 so that I could work with Romain in person. We were also connecting on Zoom most weeks while I was at home. For me the "job" was huge so the time commitment was necessary. I have "only" been to IOP 2 times so far in 2024. I won't bore you with the details but I can say I am, perhaps for the first time in my 59 years, at peace. Not every second of every day but there is a new foundation of my life and peace is a big part of it. It has been my experience that there is no greater gift you can give yourself than to take advantage of the amazing opportunity to work with Romain. If you allow it, your life will be so much the better for it.

The road in is pure washboard -- about 13 miles of bump city -- so make sure you have a 4-wheel drive and that nothing inside your car is loose. Fossil Creek is absolutely stunning, and bonus -- no permit needed after October 1st. The other thing says this trail is easy. No, it's not to be careful if you're taking somebody elderly over that doesn't have good mobility because there's some rocks you had a climb and what not also make sure you take plenty of water to drink and a little snack everything you pack in your pack. I would also suggest leaving the house by three 330. No later you don't wanna be hiking in the pitch dark.

There were no signs telling you where you can access trails to get to the creek. You just had to guess. I found a trail at our Homestead parking lot, but it was very steep and a little dangerous. We found a spot okay in the shade but was very small for our party of 6. We worked so hard getting down there that we just made it work. After leaving we went up the road a little way in our vehicle to see what the other spots looked like, but I saw no bridge or easy access from The Bridge parking lot either, and the road was just way too bumpy. I hope my wife's suspension is okay on her Mazda CX-5. The information before going should've told us about the road and what to expect, basically how to plan. It's all a guessing game. I could've asked the Ranger lady more questions, but I didn't know what to ask. My boss made things sound different. Apparently you can't drive people to the waterfall trailhead anymore. You have to walk over 2 miles on a dusty dirt road in over 100 degrees with vehicles driving by kicking up dust. That makes no sense whatsoever. We enjoyed our time at the water. Everything else leading up to it and after it we could've done without. I don't see us coming back unless we have someone with better suspension and/or better knowledge of the area. Thank you.

If you arrive early in the morning, water and lights are perfect to take reflecting images. Water stays cold even in the summer. No restrooms or drinking water available, bring plenty of water and food when visiting this trail

The upper lake was fairly crowded and a bit noisy (sound really carries there), but it's a beautiful spot overall--small, peaceful, and scenic. We stayed for about two hours, didn't catch anything, but did spot a few fish swimming around. Still a pleasant visit!

I have camped in Prescott before, but never at this lake. I had heard great things about Lynx Lake…read moreand have always wanted to check it out. This lake was formed in the 1960s when they dammed Lynx Creek. It is stocked for fishing and has a campground and hiking trails around it. There are lots of animals that are native to this area like mule deer, osprey and bald eagles. I booked a campsite here during the summer because I own a kayak and wanted to get out on the water. After setting up my site, I headed over to Lynx Lake. I was a little disappointed to see the water so low. I guess in late 2024, the lake was partially drained to fix a mechanical failure in the dam's outlet valve. It has to rely entirely on natural rain and snow to be refilled and could take years to get back to normal. So we just did a hike around the lake and headed back to our campsite. Lynx Campground has around 35 campsites with a picnic table, fire ring and a grill at each site. There are no RV hook-ups, but they do have drinking water and toilets. The campsite is about half a mile directly south of Lynx Lake. We enjoyed our campsite and had a fun time. We had to partially share our site with another family because their giant tent spilled onto our site (which was annoying). But we made the most of it. The nice thing is that the Town of Prescott isn't too far away if you need any food or supplies. As for kayaking, we were able to do that over at Watson Lake. You can book a campsite ahead of time on Recreation.gov.

I've waited two days to write this review because I'm honestly not sure how to put this experience into words. As a skeptic of the effects of a sound bath, I was intrigued to try one and how it would help me to find deeper relaxation. Of all the wellness practices I've tried (yoga, massage, acupuncture, you name it...) I found this to be the most transformative experience I have ever had. Jenni's skill set goes way beyond a talented practitioner--she is a healer in every sense of the word. I cannot recommend her highly enough. The sound bath was deeply relaxing, of course, but I was able to slip into a state that I have never reached in any other way. For the last two days I have felt a dramatic release of stress, tension and worry. I have a new sense of calmness that I never expected as an outcome of this service. Wow wow wow! I've experienced a few sound baths before and I have to say this time with Jenni it was a next level experience. Jenni is truly in touch with the spiritual world and she was able to make me feel comfortable and protected. During my session I felt myself transcend into a different place or realm. I wasn't expecting to have such a physical reaction to the different frequencies but I just let go and went with it . This ended up being a beautiful experience and in the end my mind was clear, refreshed, open and I felt centered and happy. I am looking forward to experiencing this again in the near future! What made my experience so profound, or what allowed me to have a profound experience, was how comfortable I instantly felt around Valerie! She's full of /genuine/ loving kindness and is super accessible. I think we've all met practitioners who either don't feel genuine, or come across as intimidating or overly serious or 'holier-than-thou'. Valerie felt like a sister who is totally there to support you with no judgement. I knew I could ask her any question, be myself around her, and even have a laugh!! Long story short in other treatments / healings / ceremonies / spiritual experiences, I've never been able to fully let go and have the healing experience I was meant to have, because I was either too shy are worried if I DID let go that I would not be supported. So thank you Valerie for making me feel comfortable and free!!! My bestie and I each did individual 2-hour breathwork and sound healing sessions. Valerie has a Sound Bed which is super comfortable and like laying on an instrument with harp strings on one side and mellow drums on the other. When she plays the strings or drums, you can feel the vibrations in the your body and it's so awesome!! Valerie's studio space is super zen and clean and spacious, while feeling totally cozy. And beautiful! The session was approx 15 minutes orientation / talking about personal spiritual or life focuses, then 45 minutes breathwork, 45 minutes sound healing, and 15 minutes decompression/discussion/reorientation Breathwork was challenging in the best way and HOLY HECK did I release some things. Tears just welled up and were shed and Valerie had done a great job before letting me know I didn't need to wonder what the tears were about or be in my head. I'm often in my head so it was great to know I could fully be in my body and like she said "the breath will do all the work". I felt tensions in my neck and other parts of my body spontaneously release that I ***did not know they were even there until they were gone***. How long had I been holding onto those?!?!? As the breathwork continued I felt my whole body and each cell vibrating with light! So the breathwork takes you to an entire different dimension and then once you're there - 45 minutes of sound healing blissss!!!!! Every time Valerie picked up a different instrument I could almost feel a different part of my body was activated. One of my focuses was womb energy / creative fertility, and I could literally feel different sides of my womb vibrate and tingle. Other times I could feel other internal organs vibrate like my liver and spleen and parts of my back.
