We walked away and came back about 5min later and then Joy saw us standing there and told us we'd get started once the other class had finished. We started about 10-15min after the scheduled class time. The scent selection process and actual candle-making was very fun! Joy explained things well and it was overall a fun experience. Our class ran late so there were a few couples for the next class that walked in looking for instruction. Now that I know how it works I'd feel comfortable coming back! After only one day of the crystals being present in the classroom a student commented at the close of the day, "Wow! This was a great day!" Students are more focused on assignments, they are speaking kinder to one another, and there's less chatter when I'm providing directions. Parking is pretty crazy though, there's a tiny parking lot on the one way street before getting to the building but since there are other local businesses right next to the store the parking gets pretty full most of the time. Grab a coffee across the street and browse, you can easily blow through 2 hours just looking at everything they have to offer. Since a lot of the goods are imported I would personally say the average cost of something would be around $22, so if you are planning on splurging make sure to save a little bit (or else you'll get torn between choosing what to buy, like I have done before ) The environment is also very communal, having a trinket trading box outside of their storefront (not owned by Sour Milk but heavily appreciated) AND a Sonny Angel/ Smiski trading station, and also vending art created by local Fresno artists! On top of their every-day communal outlets they also are huge contributors for Tower Districts Art Hop and they host local vegan food trucks from time to time.

It's been converted to the store. Behind the store there is a converted garage where she has a classroom and holds classes. Check out the calendar. The calendar lists sewing days that you can sign up for, and classes with a variety of techniques for many different types of styles and interests of all types of Quilters. Now down to the Fabrics. She has a focus on Lori Holt from Riley, Blake fabric manufacturer, fresh, bright, and pretty. She also carries a number of major lines from Moda, including the collection for a cause, French general, which is sort of a romantic, antique look, and also Andover prints by laundry basket, quilts. These are things that greatly interest me and other shops in town tend to focus more on modern fabrics and modern quilting with a lot of batiks and modern prints. So I'm glad The Quilted Goat is focused on providing a different sort of inventory. In addition, The Quilted Goat carries a lot of pre-cuts, plus fat quarters if you just want to select a few little pieces to fill out your stash or sample things. She has a whole wall of notions. This is towards the back of the shop. The shop is decorated in kind of a vintage style vibe. Additionally, there are many quilts and samples of sewing on display. One of the quilts, a disappearing nine patch was beautifully displayed, and there is a class coming up on that at the end of January this year 2024 every room has something inspiring, fun, vibrant to get your quilting juices flowing.
