We physically lost two loved ones, and we would not go to anyone else but Strano & Feeley. The excellent customer service begins with the initial home call, taking possession of the deceased loved one (e.g., at home or hospital), then the intake meeting with the family. The clean calming atmosphere starts outside (e.g., fishpond) then continues inside with comfortable furniture and smiling staff to greet you. No matter which staff you receive for the intake meeting, they all conduct themselves with professionalism, care, and provided clear information on the various options. As a grieving loved one, I'd suggest you come to the table with your grief but an open mind and patience with your loved ones present with you and the staff. What I appreciated was for one loved one- we had all the answers prepared, for the other we were figuring out as we went along- staff provided time and space in the intake meeting for us to calmly figure things out. Having someone take notes in the family to compare with the staff's notes is always useful - they were always on point anyway but it's good to remember what you ordered and they will provide you a folder with information from the initial session as well. Any insurance or cemetery logistics were handled on the phone right away by the staff in the first session - which was amazing to watch them navigate the complex systems of care. We had a loved one cremated and another buried in a nearby state - the funeral home still took care of everything, just be sure to provide your photos, music and obituary timely. Nothing was overly complicated and if it was, they never showed it, just showed up for us in every way - we had no worries. When it was time to collect our loved one's things (e.g. urn or possessions not buried) they provide you with a beautiful bag of memories, some unexpected, that showed more care than we could have imagined. By the end of our grieving season this summer - this had become not only a funeral home but an appendage to our family. The staff will forever be a part of our loved ones' legacy. P.S. I would highly recommend the nearby Atterbury VFW - Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3420 for a repast and their regular caterer Ms. Lori. Everyone was such a blessing and joy to work with, and they took care of absolutely everything including décor and the food was delicious. Thank you to Jamie and the ENTIRE Strano & Feeley team, With Gratitude, The Gillyard Family

Well, I never thought I'd see the day that I would write a review for a funeral home, but that just…read morespeaks to how impeccably Nolan Fidale handled the arrangements for my father-in-law. It all started after my father-in-law passed away in his home after being on hospice. Two burly men from Nolan Fidale showed up at 10 pm (in full dress suits) ready to take his body away. They explained everything to us as they did it (we are moving him here, then we will put him on this stretcher, etc.). When my husband had a moment as he watched them haul his dad off the bed, they paused and asked if it was OK to proceed. They were very aware of the emotions of the people in the room and were extremely sensitive to them. I was not involved in the family meeting the next morning to talk about all the details of the funeral, but when my husband came home he couldn't speak highly enough of Andrea and the service that she had provided that morning. When it came time for the family viewing, I started to understand what he was talking about. The staff was extremely accommodating - holding every single door for us, ushering us along to different places, making sure we had plenty of ice water, tissues, and generally anticipating the needs of the family. Andrea did an excellent job of explaining to all of us what to expect and also gently asking us how we'd like to handle various things. For example, we had to decide if we wanted to donate the flowers to an elderly facility, bring them to the church, or take them home. Andrea got answers to all of the important questions while not being overbearing or insensitive to our grief. During the day of the services the staff handled everything beautifully, once again. While everyone was inside for the viewing, they put flags on all of the cars in the lot so that we'd all be ready for the funeral procession. While we were in the church, they took them all off. Little things like this meant so much to us, because we didn't have to think about any of this stuff, and it was clear that the staff at Nolan Fidale knew exactly what they were doing and they run an extremely efficient operation. During the church services, the staff at Nolan Fidale stuck around and acted as personal concierges to us. I mean, I really can't describe it any other way. At every point, someone was there, answering questions or directing us what to do. They even were directing people to the bathrooms in the church! I also noticed that Andrea shed a few tears during the church service, which I found touching. She clearly hasn't been hardened by this job, or desensitized to death to the point that she's cold and unfeeling. I really respected her ability to be direct and organized while still exuding so much empathy and respect for the grieving process of the family. Truly I can't say enough good things about this funeral home. They've thought of everything. I mean, their bathrooms have mouthwash dispensers!! They even arranged all of our photos for us and then packed everything up and delivered it back to the house for us once everything was said and done. A+ service from Nolan Fidale. A beautiful property, with beautiful people, and beautiful service.

Top Notch Service!…read more I've been meaning to write a review for Nolan Fidale for months now. You never really expect to write a review about a funeral home or funeral services, since the need to use this type of service only happens rarely in one's life. Aside from losing my mother in late 2022, the experience of dealing with Andrea and her professional staff was as pleasant as I could have imagined. At the moment my mother passed, I contacted Andrea at Nolan Fidale at recommendation from my sister. Andrea immediately offered her condolences, was kind, warm, helpful and informative during our first call. She dispatched her team to pick up my mom immediately. Once they arrived, they were so kind, patient and professional. After dealing with having my mother being picked up by the Nolan Fidale team, Tim took over and handled our arrangements. I can't begin to describe how easy this process was, albeit painful, dealing with Andrea and then Tim. He was delightful and professional at every step throughout the process. Tim guided dad and me through the process of cremating my mother and crafting a wonderful memorial in her name. This was the proper way to say goodbye to mom, for now, and to remember her life and legacy for what it was and what it will be. I can't recommend Nolan Fidale enough. Their dedication to providing compassionate and seamless service is unmatched.

From the very first phone call with Bill Doherty, to our appointment making arrangements, the multiple phone calls and e-mails with our questions and requests during the planning, to the actual service and burial, everything went amazingly smooth and with the utmost compassion and respect towards my family. My mom was Scottish and we wanted to honor her Scottish heritage. I dropped off several tartan table runners, scarves and various items for decorating the tables, as well as dozens of framed pictures, and a special table for guests to offer a Scottish toast to bid mom farewell. I thought I'd have to do the decorating myself, but was so relieved to see the place beautifully decked out as we arrived early for the family visitation hour. We didn't have to lift a finger, which was so appreciated. They arranged for a bagpiper at my request (he was amazing), arranged the details with our musician, created beautiful brochures and mass cards for the service, set up all the flowers, etc, and did a great job stopping traffic during the procession to All Saints Cemetery. I had so many compliments from family and friends on how classy and beautiful everything was. My family and I cannot thank Bill Doherty, Martha, Rose, and the rest of the wonderful staff enough for their compassion, patience, and overall professionalism.
