When my wife went in to request information, the worker on duty was very rude bordering on openly hostile. She questioned my wife as to why we were switching daycares, opining that we must have had difficulties with our former daycare, or else we wouldn't be switching. When my wife tried to explain that 1.) the lady that had been watching our daughter was pregnant with her 2nd child and just couldn't keep up with 3 children and 2.) we had just moved to Ellettsville from Bloomington and were looking for a daycare closer to home, the worker on duty snapped that there must be some other reason that we were switching. To be questioned like that is extremely insulting and doesn't speak well of how the workers at Jack and Jill probably treat other parents and their children.

I have randomly picked them up and dropped them off and have never seen any issues that suggest that there is a lack of quality of care. However, I have seen parents that can be rude and overly using of the care that is provided here. This place has people that are working to provide a safe place for kids to be when away from parents. I truly believe that they all care about the kids here and work to make it interesting and fun. This is a tutoring center for school aged children. They offer tutoring in language arts, reading,…read morewriting, TOEFL, SAT and debate classes. They can basically tutor in most things that you want. Classes range from one hour to an hour and a half. They are open all week and most classes are after school hours. Most children getting tutored are Korean. Skype classes are also offered. Most classes are one on one, a few are in a group setting. Classes usually still meet over school breaks. Adult tutoring can be arranged as well. Overall, a pretty good setting to get tutoring for K-12.

The environment is nurturing and allows students to properly grow and develop. The preschool is a great program for easing children into the school environment with flexible scheduling. This school is safe and all of the staff are unbiased and understanding. My time at the school I felt safe, protected, and heard. The only issue was the inaccecisbility to counseling. Students have lots of fun learning oppurtunities. Several field trips a year for all grades, fishing, tie dye, gardening. The school is based on the acronym EARTH which stands for; environment art resources technology and health. There are plenty of unique diverse visitors who share their culture with the grades. In first grade we learned how to speak swahili. The spanish class helps students train their brains with a more engaging course. Students learn the value of friendship and how to build strong relationships. Unionville is an amazing school with awesome teachers. Go arrows!
