In recent years a brave and determined team have slowly been working on making this once what it was ...... a great Brewery .... using all local produce, labor and talent. I arrived here using Google map references ...... it was mid week .... mid afternoon ..... never really expecting to try any beers at all ....... what happened made my day ....... a generous guy gave me a personal tour ....... it was quick but was fun as we saw old fashioned machinery mixed with modern bits and pieces. Beer tasting would have pushed this very new friendship over the edge ..... instead I opted to buy a mixed dozen of their current brews ....... I couldn't stop smiling ..... Joey D ...... very happy !! Weekends would be highly recommended ...... and a side note ..... extensions to outside areas ...... new eatery and new accommodation are on the drawing board ..... coming soon ...... and very much something to look forward to. This nice breezy open pub is really quite nice and a place I would spend more time. The staff were so friendly! The chef even came out to the table to assist my friend with ordering gluten free options. I haven't had their beer which I know is odd being that it's a brewery but it just wasn't that sort of afternoon when I visited. Instead we ordered wine and food. The food was a step up from pub food for sure! They had various selections of tacos, fish, burgers, chicken schnitzel, salads, pies, etc. I saw quite a few entrees being served and they all looked fresh and good presentation. My friend tried the tacos and I tried the chicken schnitzel. The schnitzel was a decent size portion, the fries were nice and crisp, the salad was gorgeous with big chunks of spinach and not overly done with the dressing. I will definitely stop in again. Not so touristy spot!!

Both soooooo good! The volume was not so noisy so we could actually talk and hear each other. Then the first band came in and, I'm sorry to say I did not catch their name because they were incredible! Their vocalist has quite a versatile range and adorbs. The guitarists and drummer were da best!!! We sat there longer than planned because song after song was wonderful! And, make sure you check out the ceilings!! Purty interesting to say the least. (If you are more a prudish type, I suggest not looking up. No judgement!) But, eventually we did go to the jazz venue.... Jazz. Hot Jazz! Mellow, delicious and...what can I say?
