First time visiting the dog park with my 70lb Bernedoodle puppy. It was a little tricky to find since its behind a baseball field, pond, and basketball court. It was very clean and had lots of trees and grass for my big boy to run! The pond or water area is not fenced in so use had to stay on the leash. They do have poop bags and some stainless water bowls but you need to bring your own water for the dogs. They also have 3 or 4 picnic tables both shaded and in the sun plus a large tree lined area for the dogs to run in along with some agility items for the animals. Will definitely be back again!!

My two dogs love it. As soon as I open the trunk of my suv and they see the pond.. they do a mad dash and jump right it! It's a clean and safe pond with friendly dogs. The dog park is also great for them to run around, play fetch, & meet new furry friends!

Wonderful dog park in Batavia, IL! Three acres of running space, dotted with shade trees, this dogpark is the best I have been to so far. It even includes a dog beach and pond for the brave pups who love to swim. (Dozer does NOT do such things.) Always a ball to throw and a dog-buddy to play with, this park is great. Also! They allow the best dogs in the world... American Pit Bull Terriers! Along with every other kind of dog, it can be a great mix on a Saturday morning. As far as I know, no tag or key is needed. The gate is always unlocked. Though, I heard it closes at first snow. So get there soon!

The Batavia Bark Park is our go to dog park. Our dogs absolutely love it. It's such a great park, they have a huge fenced in area with plenty of space for the dogs to run and play. All the dogs and dog owners are fantastic! We've never had a problem with any of the dogs or owners. You get to know everyone because there's so many regulars! Which is fantastic! They also have plenty of shaded areas and picnic tables for the dog owners to sit at which is super nice. They just built a doggy playset which is neat. They also have a great walking trail and a pond for the dogs to swim. However the pond isn't fenced. I highly recommend this dog park and tell all our friends about it.

Such a great dog park! So much running space for the dogs. This was great for our husky early on when we were trying to socialize her!

This park is impeccably maintained, safe & offers a vast green space along with ample parking. Views of the fox river, mature trees & big lush grassy lawn. There are numerous activities available besides walking, biking, picnicking. You can enjoy amenities such as a baseball park, tennis/pickleball courts, paddle boats & mini golf (for a fee), fitness circuit, beach volleyball & bocce or bring your own set of outdoor games. Also a small water park with slides. Now all that's lacking is a set of basketball hoops & this would be THE perfect park! The bike path runs alongside the scenic Fox River, providing breathtaking views. Benches & picnic tables are plentiful & scattered throughout the park. It's the perfect spot to set up a pop-up tent & picnic blanket like we always do. You can also rent a pavilion for parties & gatherings. This park is conveniently located near a variety of restaurants, stores & bookstores on Main St. in St. Charles.

This is a large, well maintained area for your four legged friend to roam around, play ball, or just socialize with other dogs. My dog likes to jump on top of the picnic tables reserved for humans and slobber all over, but it is a dog park, so people just have to deal. One thing I will comment on, is that if your dog humps, you should probably watch them. It's just obnoxious and some other dogs will snap if they are continuously being mounted. What is that anyway? I understand they're animals but really, don't you think you should discourage yours from doing that to stranger's pets? Yeahhh.. Trails-- on the far west end of WS park, there are some trails that are pretty secluded. There are great hills for running and it's very pretty. I think this may be a good spot for XC skiing as well, but I've yet to delve into that activity so we'll see this winter. I really like it, it's peaceful (albeit a bit creepy). There are also community garden plots that you can rent for a summer near the dog park. I'll probably update my review after this summer since I'm getting one this year!! I'm not sure if this is really considered a different park than the James O. Breen portion but if not, there are tons of soccer fields and Otter Cove splash park (which I've never been to). P.S. There is a boy's home (correctional center) located just south of the park, but it's very well secured and I've never seen anyone from inside in the years that I've been coming here.
