The staff at The Shed were incredibly friendly and helpful, making the whole experience even better. Portions were generous, and everything tasted amazing. The brisket, in particular, stood out--it was moist, tender, and easily one of the best I've ever had. I even spoke with the manager to share how impressed I was, and he went above and beyond by taking me back to see the smokers. That really showed their pride in what they do. We ordered two waffle cones, which were advertised as $3.75 each. However, when we got our total, it came out to $10.70. Confused, we asked about the discrepancy, and the staff casually said, "Oh, that's just tax." But after doing the math (8.25% combined state and city tax), that just didn't add up-it should've been $0.61 in tax, not nearly $3 more. We went back in to get clarification, only to be told that the cone prices had recently increased by $1 each. Even with that adjustment, the math still didn't work. It feels like they're just making up numbers and overcharging customers, which is incredibly frustrating. It's a shame because we're in town all week and had planned to come back nightly, but after this experience, we won't be returning at all. I hate to say it, but it feels like they're stealing money from people. Proceed with caution if you decide to stop by!
