I was searching for a new dermatologist with the latest cutting edge treatments this was not it. Got another strong Cortisone cream that just thinned my skin and made it constantly peel even worse. I had high hopes but no. I was charged an absorbent amount of money to see their physicians assistant for her to use me as a teaching process. I told her I've had eczema on my hands mainly since I was 3 (I'm 50 now) and she made me do a punch biopsy which surprise- it was eczema!! I don't know what else to do for my eczema since the pandemic begun it's been absolutely awful on my hands I'm guessing it from all the chemicals they've been spraying all over the shopping carts etc? I'm not even really working anymore where I'd normally have all the irritants to my sensitive skin. Back to the drawing board..

I am very happy with both my treatment (acne) and the office. Everything from scheduling, billing and being seen was smooth and efficient.

I have a mole on my nose that has been growing ever since I was a kid (I know, TMI, but you gotta get the full story). I've been wanting to remove this mole my whole life but haven't had success in finding a dermatologist that best fit what I was looking for. It was always a complicated procedure when essentially all I really wanted was to shave it down, but every other dermatologist wanted me to completely remove it. Dr. Nour Al-Hadidi actually asked me what I wanted to do while inputting her best opinion. She just truly blew it out of the park. Same with her assistant, Wanda! So beyond informational, straight forward, and thorough. I felt like she truly had my best interest at heart and she even got a second opinion from another doctor. We came up with a decision together and she did exactly what I wanted right there and then. I booked a follow up appointment in 2 weeks, but just like that it was one and done. She would always check in with me if I was okay throughout the whole procedure, as well. I will definitely be coming here now for all my dermatology needs. The place itself was very spacious and clean, too. Definitely check this place out if you're looking for a dermatologist!

Everything was explained to me before, during, and after my procedure. I was lucky and didn't have to spend the day there but the waiting area is welcoming- they have snacks and beverages- a tv and several waiting areas so if you want a quiet setting, that is available too. Parking is either parallel out front or there is a parking garage- I got lucky both times I went. When you arrive, you go through the cafe entrance and get on the elevator. If you park in the parking garage, you can not enter the building from it, you must come out to the cafe entrance.

That's easy to say, but difficult to do. Still, I was patient (all the while having coworkers, students, and family asking me for updates). After 2 weeks I was getting antsy, so called and left a message. In doing so, you're prompted to record certain information: "State your name and hit the # key; State your doctor and hit the # key; State the reason for your call and hit the # key," etc. The PA-C who did the procedure called me back within a few hours, but apparently the "reason" for my call wasn't relayed, because she had no idea why I had called. After that bit of awkwardness, she said she was surprised no one had called me with the biopsy results. They were negative. The end. I mean, that's great and all, but here I was a bit anxious (while trying not to be, but my mind goes 20 steps ahead and into the "what ifs" pretty easily) the whole time, waiting like I was told. The next day I went to my mom's to find a letter from them stating the negative results. Again, great... but a phone call - like I was told I'd receive - would have been much, much better. I mean...this relates to skin CANCER, which I've had (the deadliest kind, mind you) - probably should be a little higher on the "Let's make sure we follow up with the patient like we said we would" List. Disappointing.

I'm deeply disappointed with my experience at Oak Dermatology, specifically regarding the MiraDry…read moreprocedure with Rachel. From start to finish, the experience was truly traumatic. Despite expressing discomfort and obvious anxiety stemming from the intense physical pain of my initial procedure with Rachel (which makes me sweat just thinking back to it), both Rachel and Rhonda flat-out refused to let me switch providers for the second treatment. I finally received approval to switch and booked the appointment, only to be told a month later it was being canceled if not done with Rachel. Their rigidity and lack of empathy was appalling. Let me preface this by sharing that I have a high pain tolerance -- I've fractured my hip during military service and have tolerated Opus treatments in the past without flinching; yet, the pain of this procedure was infinitely worse than both of those combined or any surgery I've had. It felt like someone was literally burning off my armpits for over an hour. Between that and the endless injections that wound up being futile, I have never cursed so much in my entire life in one sitting. Nothing Rachel attempted helped with pain management, and my clear distress was minimized and ignored after I recounted the experience to her and the staff. If both Rachel and Rhonda are supposedly qualified to perform this procedure, why refuse my simple, reasonable request to switch providers for the second round of treatments? Had I known they would be so inflexible and dismissive of my well-being, I never would have chosen Oak Dermatology. Now, I have to spend several thousand more dollars to do the procedure anew elsewhere, since the discounted second treatment is non-transferable wherever I go next. This clinic clearly prioritizes their own egos and reputations over patient comfort and care. It's incredibly disappointing to see this kind of arrogance in a medical setting. While Dr. Hsu and Stephanie are genuinely wonderful, competent, and caring professionals, my overall impression of the practice is deeply negative after this. I would never return to Oak Dermatology after being treated in this way.

If you struggle with the highs and lows of dieting, don't. Please seek professional medical advice, it is worth it. I will continue to work hard to meet my healthy weight/bmi goal for me. The injections were rough, I had significant swelling and bruising around my lips, and I was given no aftercare instructions. My lips went back to their original size within a month. When I called, I was told I needed a second syringe and that this had supposedly been discussed during my visit. I went back, and instead of addressing why the filler didn't last, she tried to sell me a third syringe, commenting that my smile was "very wide." Once again, the results faded within a month. In February 2026, I went to a different injector (BRN, RN). She was thorough, gentle, and professional. She couldn't even feel any prior filler in my lips. I received one syringe, had no bruising, minimal swelling, and loved the results. The difference in skill and professionalism was night and day. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this provider.

All of the associates were wearing masks. I had to fill out some new paperwork and snagged a seat. I was literally the only person in the entire waiting room and I didn't even get to finish the papers because I was called for my appointment! Usually I'm used to waiting a few minutes for appointments but not here; I was taken back to my room right away. I was a little nervous for this appointment because I made it to get a mole removed on my back. I was told the process would be painless but anything with any needles (even momentary for numbing) scares me. Kristin, one of the Physician Assistants here was incredible. She was so friendly and easy to have conversation with. She walked me through the process of the mole removal and by the time she was done talking I didn't even know it was finished!!! I was so so happily surprised with how painless this experience actually was. She gave me some Polysporin ointment for the biopsy area and some advice for care. After the small procedure, I went to the desk to check out and finish my papers. I even had two associates helping me at once- how cool is that? One took my card for payment and the other was scheduling my next appointment. The fastest appointment I've ever been to in my life ha!
