This is one of those hidden local gems that I selfishly want to remain hidden so that it doesn't lose its charm--and I can continue to find parking when I stop by, but that is such an amazing local treasure that deserves success, so I must share---and share immediately. I discovered this farm's existence after seeing their Spring Fling event posted on social media--an opportunity to pet baby goats (BABY GOATS!!!) and did some digging to learn more about this place. It appears to be a family-run farm that raises goats for their milk, which they then use to make artisan soaps and other amazing items. It also looks like there are a variety of classes available, including cheese-making and soap "woolie" making. While they are open to the public three days a week, they have events approximately once a quarter when they have new products to roll out. And by roll out, I mean it. At the Spring fling, not only could you visit the soap shop and pick up a decadent soap, lotion, bath bomb, or other grooming item, but there was a kitchen filled with lemon bars, brownies, cookies, and other treats for visitors, as well as ice cold water. Outside, in the beautifully landscaped grounds, visitors could feed, pet, and hold baby goats, purchase gorgeous flower boquets, and peruse other treasures at a few other artist booths. Everything was gorgeous. And to top it off, there was a tempting swing set/jungle gym available for the younger visitors to enjoy. And on top of this, we got to enjoy a beautiful springish ride through the countryside--filled with fields and hills adorned with wildflowers, baby animals, birds of prey, and lush green grass. My only suggestion--the sign is super easy to miss---some sort of extra postings for quarterly events would really help people find the place. But other than that, this was all-around an awesome experience.

#1 they're local and shipping is super quick #2 they're personal and make you feel appreciated #3 almost everything smells amazing, leaves you soft, clean and refreshed #4 most importantly, my wife gets closer to me and continually smells me.. usually I'm the one intoxicated by her smell so it's empowering to be the one who brings us closer

Lovely place in the foothills to buy goat milk soap.

I became acquainted with Basilwood through social media having read about their soaps on Facebook and seeing the photos of the farm and goats on Instagram. A friend gifted me with a few bars of Basilwood goat milk soap. The quality is so high. This week I got to visit the farm and meet Jill and some of her goats. My small grandchildren loved it and enjoyed picking out their own soaps. So much variety from which to choose. Should you wish to visit in person, the farm is only open to the public on Tuesdays from 10 am to 2 pm.

My family and I really had a good experience coming to This farm. It's my toddler's first pumpkin…read morepatch, and she was bananas about it. This cute farm had so much to do. We were first greeted by a man and he told us where to park. Super nice and let us know what to expect at our visit. They have lots of chickens! My baby and so many other kids there loved it. We then moved over to check out our four legged friends. There was a cow, 2 donkeys, and many goats! They aren't shy and will come up to the gate and meet you. Super neat for the little ones to see. The third area we checked out is their pumpkin patch. They have beautiful displays of pumpkins of all colors! Lots of decors for you and your family to take some pictures and capturing some beautiful memories. You can walk over to where the pumpkin grows and purchase some if you like. Support local! If you're looking for some freshly cut flowers to take with you home, you can go cut some at the farm. I believe they are $40 for a bucket! Finally, you can check out where they sell goat cheese from the goat milk they get from the farm. At the pumpkin patch you and your family can hitch a hay ride for free. By far my favorite pumpkin patch I've ever been too. When I went there were food trucks which made it convenient for family to grab some bites if they are hungry. Restroom was also open for attendees.

We won a pass though Yelp to checkout their pumpkin patch. The farm is pretty far away from me but…read moreworth the drive. Upon arrival an older gentleman stopped our car and explained to us all they had to offer. My son was extremely excited to find out they had baby goats, chickens and donkeys there. The farm is really big and everything is well spaced out if you're concerned about being around a lot of people. We checked out the animals first. The baby goats were so adorable. Then the chickens were in their own area and it was really cool to see their eggs too. After that we went to the barn area were they had vendors selling home made crafts and desserts. We got some yummy rice crispy treats that were really big for only 3 bucks. Outside of the barn they had little tractors set up for kids and a cute seating area to take your fall pumpkin patch pics. Beyond that area they had picnic tables and tons of other cute spots to take photos. We were informed you could pick a pumpkin from any of the areas they had pumpkins or actually go into the field to pick a pumpkin. I'd suggest wearing a good pair of shoes because it's a huge dirt area. My son went crazy and filled our cart with lots of little pumpkins. They are very reasonable priced too. We paid 22 dollars for 12 little pumpkins. Most places charge per pound but they actually have set prices. After picking pumpkins we went to get lunch from the food truck they had out there. First I had to stop and buy cheese from their farm. I got a Brie and some pomegranate jelly. It was a really great combination. The lady selling the cheese sells charcuterie boxes too. Not anything big but a snack size to have something while relaxing at the farm. We had a very fun filled day and appreciate Yelp for the pass. So if you're in the area definitely check out this farm. Oh yeah they're starting to have dinners there on certain nights too. It's Beautiful farm with lots to do.
