Everytime I go to Tegernsee I drop into the Kloster and take visitors there. It is a hidden gem amongst the hustle and bustle of the beer garden next door and a piece of history that's well worth visiting.
The church is beautiful and quiet and I have rarely seen people inside it and it's a serene place of worship amongst the myriad of things that happen on the outside.
The walls and ceiling is beautifully painted and done with great attention to detail. It is not as big as the Weiskirsche but the paintings are similar and colorful depicting many stories from the bible and so on.
If you happen to be Tegernsee it's well worth a visit. The entrance is fairly plain and has huge wooden door to enter and if you did not go in you would have no idea such a place existed.
A must visit when in Tegernsee. read more
