We had a fun first weekend at Twin Grove RV resort and will return in the future…read more  The campground is organized into 5 camping areas with the swimming and amusement sections in the middle. We stayed in area 4, which was in the upper part of the campground away from the amenities. Our site (Q54), was only a short walk to the pool. Overall the sites were spacious and not as packed in with each other as found in other campgrounds.  Everyone we encountered at TG was very friendly and helpful. The amenities range from swimming pools(2 with slides) to an 18 hole disc golf course and everything in between. In the evenings the amusement area has an antique merry go round, inflatable slide/bounce house, train rides and miniature golf.  There is a BBQ restaurant on site and a fully stocked camp store. An ice cream parlor operated in the afternoon/evening serving soft serve, hand dipped, and sundaes. The huge portion for under $4 was very nice. The Swatara state Park is just down the road for hiking and biking. Overall a good place for a relaxing get-away.

Absolutely unacceptable experience with Twin Grove Campground…read more We canceled a July reservation in APRIL--months in advance--and were still charged for a full one-night stay. There is no reasonable justification for this. At that point, they have more than enough time to rebook the site, so this "policy" comes across as nothing more than a cash grab. What makes this worse is that we--and many of our Jeep friends--have been staying here for over 6+ years. This is apparently how they choose to treat loyal, long-time customers. Great way to say thank you. To make matters worse, the manager, Cathy, was completely unwilling to work with us or show any flexibility. There was no attempt at understanding, no effort to resolve the situation--just a rigid, take-it-or-leave-it response. That level of customer service is incredibly disappointing. This experience made it very clear that customer loyalty means nothing here. We will never give this place our business again, and neither will the group of people we've brought with us over the years. If you're considering booking, be very careful--because even if you cancel months in advance, you may still be charged and met with zero willingness to resolve it.

I came here for a place close to where I was going to attend PA motorcycle training classes (which, btw, are free). Site #46 is quiet,... oh wait,... not really. The acorns are falling out of the oak trees this time of year and, well,... let me put it this way, "shots fired" would be my analogy of what these huge acorns sound like as they come crashing down on the top of my pop up cap and canvas covers. I'm a certified firearm instructor so believe me when I tell you the shots will make you jump throughout the night. Forgot to mention the restroom facilities. Not well maintained if at all. No sink to wash up, no toilet paper (thankfully, I did have some of my own - thanks, Honey for thinking of that). Ah yes, water. I was told I had water at my site and I did,... it flows slow enough that I suspect a reverse osmosis spigot is being utilized so you really MUST pay that 50 cents if you want to clean up. Once again, I'm thankful I brought 5 gallons of water with me to cook my Mountain House meals with. Have I forgotten anything besides the good night's sleep I haven't had since arriving? Funny, all these acorns, not one squirrel or deer to be seen anywhere. Hunters out here must have an exceptionally high success rate and killed everything. I live in Bucks County (appropriately named) where we are inundated with both species of wildlife so not seeing animals wandering in the woods is strange to me. Whoops,... they almost got away with it. Electricity. I paid for it and I got it. The 30Amp breaker doesn't work nor does one of the two 15Amp breakers so,... putting it simply, I got enough electricity to run the refrigerator OR the AC... but not both so I alternated between the two as needed. Damn, just thought about the road to the site,... about the width of a truck and two way? Paved,... mostly. Plenty to be desired especially if your driving a low ground clearance Odyssey like I am and, since air bags are part of my rear suspension, I'm conscientious about those two air valves and lines sticking down on the inside of each wheel back there. Poorly paved road surfaces didn't improve my overall impression of this place. On the bright side: It didn't rain.

Indoors is 2 sets of bunk beds, a small table with three stools, some hooks, a dresser, and an AC. First impression it was pretty clean and simple. When looking on the top bunk between the mattress and the wall it got a little gross however. Mattresses were okay, not the comfiest but good enough. The AC was a life saver with keeping it cool. The bath house is conveniently located near the cabins. This also was pretty clean. The exterior curtain where you change is not quite wide enough to give full coverage though. Shower water gets hot and the water pressure is decent enough. The staff were friendly and the other campers seemed nice as well. Will definitely be staying here again!

While I won't stay here again my daughter recently relocated from Texas to PA and wanted an…read moreaffordable place to stay until she got settled. Pinch Pond was the closest campground to our house and she thought it would be a good fit. She only made reservations a day in advance for a week's stay and I was glad they were able to accommodate her as she paid cash and they held the reservation without payment. They also recommended a cheaper option, their sister campground at Mt Gretna which was $250/week but wasn't able to accommodate our size camper. When we inquired about a month's stay were told the fee was $800 and an application/approval would be required however they were booked for that length of stay. This campground is open year round and apparently busy year round. The woman checking her in was very thorough in her explanation of the policies, a little winded perhaps but I learned things I didn't know before and I was only there two weeks ago. A week's stay on a no frills rv site was $300, taxes included. She used our rv so we had to set it up and will need to tear it down at the end of stay. Given that that's an unusual situation and they require gate passes I expected it to be a problem. I was pleasantly surprised it was a non issue. I was even provided my own gate pass. The sites are not clearly marked and hubby got very annoyed when we found ourselves meandering through narrow pathways with a 28' camper in tow. Ultimately we had to call the office and ask for an escort as we were clearly lost within the campground. She knew going in that the constant boom of gunshots would surround her but didn't expect it to disturb her young son as much as it did. With every boom on the first day he held his ears and screamed for them to stop. They've now stayed two nights and it's still disturbing to him. My daughter's biggest complaint thus far is the amount of spotted lantern flies and that they even find their way inside. Both very valid concerns.
