I highly recommend Basha of Dearborn for their exceptional kindness, professionalism, and care. My husband is very claustrophobic. The staff at Basha took the time to show him the equipment, explain the process, and make him feel comfortable. When he wanted to quit, the technician kept him calm and helped him through it. The radiologist generated the report in less than 48 hours, allowing us to keep the appointment with our surgeon. I called multiple times over the course of two hours. Each time, someone would answer, place me on hold, and after several minutes the system would disconnect the call. This happened repeatedly, making it impossible to get assistance. Because of this experience, I chose to go to a stick with Henry Ford. Reliable communication is essential, and if answering the phone is too difficult how can they handle complex medical systems and imaging? My assumption is they can't. read more

As a patient, I would expect the receptionist to be able to answer questions without telling me to calm down, being a patient advocate it is my job to ask questions , the receptionist I was trying to speak to was very very rude, would not let me get a word in edgewise and kept repeating herself .. these younger people need to apparently go to school to learn how to be a receptionist, because the young woman at the Schoenherr location was absolutely rude & disrespectful !! I recommend going absolutely anywhere else if possible, if the receptionist treats you this way, I'm almost afraid to schedule a service !! Have your Drs. office fax the referral, a signed order from your Dr. is exactly that , it doesn't matter where it's faxed from !!! read more

I scheduled an appointment here and it was a very unpleasant experience. First, they called to reschedule me five times within the same day. What kind of professional place does that? They also expressed annoyance that I was not able to be flexible with my appointment time, but we all work and that isn't possible for everyone. Also, I get to my appointment at 3:00, and as I sit here 45 minutes later still not seen, the entire waiting room is getting coughed on by another patient. They rush with their clients, but still always seem behind and make the patient seem like the issue. I highly recommend another establishment for your MRI needs. read more

If you go to Basha for an MRI, check with your insurance to determine what you are required to pay before attending the appointment. I was charged $300 when I walked in the door and paid it! Little did I know that BCBS covered the test 100%. I have attempted 3 times to get a refund. I even contacted Blue Cross and they called while I was on hold! I was told by Basha that I did have a credit on my account and a check had been cut. A month later and I have yet to receive it. Therefore, they are lying. I believe this is insurance fraud and I will be contacting insurance, my CC company and the state to file a fraud claim. The only professional part of my visit was the person administering my MRI. The front desk staff are beyond rude. The young man at The desk first shoved the clip board in front of me and when I didn't take It quick enough, then proceeded to pick it up and shove it harder. This was the most unprofessional medical practice I have ever been to. Why haven't they been investigated by the state!?!?! The office conditions are deplorable at the Sterling Heights, Michigan office. Update: I have filed a claim with the state regarding the negligent charging and the complaint was forwarded to the to State Attorney General by the Michigan Department of Insurance. What a pleasant experience we had at Basha Diagnostics. Our son had some concerning remarks on a recent ultrasound and we were directed to get a follow up MRI to rule out or confirm the findings. As you could imagine, we as parents were overcome with emotion and anxiety and wanted to learn our next steps as soon as possible. We called for an appointment at another facility and were scheduled two weeks out. We did not feel comfortable waiting that long for such sensitive results so we reached out to Basha. After explaining our high emotions and letting them know our son has autism and high anxiety they assured us they would do everything they could to get him in quickly. They set an appointment for that same day later in the evening to accommodate us. When we arrived we were met with smiles and attentiveness by the front desk team of Tema & Nehme. They checked us in and immediately attended to getting our son ready for his MRI. While we waited nervously we ask so many questions and both Tema and Nehme patiently and professionally addressed all of our concerns. I had some stimulator this year that were not permanent that had to be removed. My doctor ordered an MRI and when questions by Basha, I was told that I needed to have an x-ray or I couldn't come in because of possibility of metal fragments. So I had to go back to my doctor to get x-rays and know that I did not have metal fragaments in my leg. The rude lady asked me to please fax over or send over a document indicating that. The only document that I had was for my patient portal stating that it was safe for me to have an MRI. It was very difficult to get through her. I finally had to text her by phone. Fast-forward the MRI day. I'm claustrophobic but I knew that was only for my foot. I got a telephone call about an hour before my appointment to saying that they were running late asking if I wanted to come later. Well everybody knows when you have an MRI you're nervous and you just wanna get it done with a few I said that I would get there at 3:30. So I got there at 3:30 filled out all the forms and sat waiting waiting until 415 while others were called in that had appointments later than mine. When I front desk, I told them that my appointment was at 3:30 and they took the person at 4:15 before me. I was told that they were using different machines. OK that works. Then I finally called into the back ice cream was coming off the it was so cold. I was shaking, shivering crying. I swear I had hypothermia on my toe. I sat in that room half an hour waiting to get into the MRI. When I finally got in a tech came in and told me was gonna happen. Told me that I couldn't move my foot popped in some earplugs and left. Never asked me about music during the MRI. I never heard what was going on. I was told it was gonna be 10 minutes and it was a lot longer than 10 minutes. Most of the time in there, someone says that you have a few minutes left or some kind of direction. That did not happen. Then they stuck me back into the freezer for another 20 minutes, telling me that I needed a CD. I waited and froze to the point where I was crying. I went up to the desk and asking how long before I would get ... I gentleman said they were they take a while for them to come out. I said I'm freezing and so cold in that room. He laughed it off and told me that I could go into the waiting room. So I went there and he came out with my CD. I was frozen my toes were frozen. I was shaking and I'll never go back here again. healthcare system in the state is beginning to really become very scary and this incident was probably the icing on the cake. Experience was fine but billing is very FLAWED. Paid a $350 deposit, bill was $332, so really I overpaid. I have had difficulties with claustraphobia in the past, but they worked great with me, and without incident. I tried to schedule an appointment for my knee, and the person on the phone was asking me about the script. She asked me if it was contrast or no contrast. It didn't say. Why do you need to know that I need contrast for an MRI for a joint? I've had multiple images done, and contrast is only applied for the organs, not the joints. I told her what the script was for, and she started asking questions about how many pictures and whatnot. I gave up after probably 5 minutes on the phone, and I will go to Beaumont; they know how to do their job, unlike these unprofessionals who work here. If you cared, you would just make the appointment and treat people with respect. You never know who might take care of you next. Don't tell me to go back to my doctor and get them to refill it. That just proved you have no idea how to do your job, or have no people skills. read more

I had an MRI of my shoulder done at the Sterling Heights location. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a friendly woman at the desk and was checked in. She was kind, explained everything to me and efficiently checked me in. I was called back to a room within minutes. Chris, the MRI tech, introduced himself and went over the procedure. This was my second MRI with Chris. He's fantastic! So upbeat, funny and personable. He is awesome at his job and went the extra mile to ensure I understood the procedure, was comfortable and calm. He checked on me a few times during the MRI to make sure I was ok. I was in and out in no time. II would highly recommend Basha for any diagnostic testing and ask for Chris! read more

Had an MRI in early 2024 at Basha. I was sent a notice that I was due a refund of $74.34. I called their billing department in April. They confirmed the refund due. I called again in mid-May. They promised to process and send a check. It is now June. Still no refund. Highly unethical. Will never go back. read more

I really liked this place! The reception was outstanding and very thoughtful. Because of my extreme claustrophobia, I requested the open MRI and tho it's still a tube, it's short and open on both sides (top and bottom.) Got music and a cloth over my eyes and I was good!!! The woman who helped with procedure ( I didn't get her name!) was an Angel and I'm so grateful for her! I had a very good experience and would recommend to anyone. I had to have an MRI done and I only called Basha as a last resort because it was a two-week wait the other places. After I set up the appointment, I get a call back stating I would have to pay $300 when I came in. The next day they called me to confirm appointment and AGAIN reiterated the $300 charge. I asked if they did payment plans and it was "No.". Of course not, greedy company. I'm scared now after reading the reviews if I'd even get a refund OR they will tell me I owe more. Girls at front desk were pleasant. Tech was not rude, but he asked me three times how I injured myself and was not very accommodating on my comfort, even after asked me and I said I wasn't. . I told him I had had spine surgery and it was tough to lay flat on my back and I would I would probably need an extra pillow prop. Then, my foot and leg wouldn't lay properly, so apparently, as hard as I tried not to, I moved. It was the most uncomfortable MRI I ever had done. He fiddled around with trying a few things, but maybe if he had used a wedge against my leg, it would have helped. Back was spasming by the end of the test. I've been here at least 10 times for different testing throughout the years and always have an ok experience but this time I got repeated phone calls letting me know how much my co-pay is and that I have to pay it on the day of appointment and before I get my test. I have never had to pay upfront at a diagnostic center before. The girls at the desk/window were a little short with me too. read more

I went there for an MRI. They told me it will cost me $350 out-of-pocket and my insurance will pay the rest . after I got the MRI done they sent me a bill for $160. When I called them they told me my insurance did not cover all of it and I will have to pay $160 additional to the $350 that I paid. stay away from these clowns read more

Care was great, billing, not so wonderful. I went in 4 months ago and had an mri along with other necessary tests for my age bracket. I had to go back because they requested an mea for my brain and brain stem. At first they said, in a text, that it would be $1,000. Then when I arrived, they said it would be $1,140. Fine. When I went back for the MRA a month later, they stated that would be $900. Great, that fulfills my deductible. It is now the middle of June, and they have yet to submit any of my paperwork, my fully paid deductible, to my insurance. They said "our billing has been down since March, it has been hacked" Anybody who does business there, beware, they may take months to get an EOB from them. The lady was rude today when I called, just nasty. I have a neurosurgeon appointment coming up. BCBS stated that if the neurosurgeons claim comes in first, Basha will owe me any extra that I paid for my deductible. I'm going to one of the best neurosurgeons in the country, so let's hope they charge me the whole deductible. That would be sweet justice read more

Basha Diagnostics is an excellent facility. I have had to come here quite a few times now for several different things including x-rays, ultrasounds and an MRI. If you have never had an MRI and are looking for details on it I will give that down at the bottom after this facility review. Since I've been here a few times, they have kept my insurance information on file, and they haven't had any changes it's been really easy to come in and out. The technicians that I've worked with have always been very professional, kind and easy to talk to you. Depending on what you're having done there's usually a room that you can change in and have privacy if that is needed. Everyone is very willing to answer any questions for you. During your particular procedure you may not be able to get a diagnosis or you might have to stay still or not look at screens, so if you're the kind of person that needs to know what's going on at every second and if they're finding something, you have to remember that it's not necessarily the person running the machines or procedures job to give you that information. You should be consulting your physician for that information. I really like coming to this facility because it is much easier than going to Beaumont, and they have incredible hours. For example, my MRI was scheduled at 9 p.m. I don't live far from this Basha so it worked out perfectly for me. It's really nice that they offer certain services at late or early hours for people with day jobs. It's nice to not be able to take off work. I highly recommend calling Basha if you are in need of a service that they provide and your health care may not cover it or might have a high cost at hospital, from what I understand their pricing especially on MRI out beats most insurance co-pays or hospital prices. *** Now for the MRI details if you're interested in that. When I had my MRI and never had one before and only heard certain things. I'm not claustrophobic thank God, so I wasn't too worried. After asking all the questions about having any metal or medical devices the person who performed my MRI explained that I was going to lay down on the table and your head fits in a little cradle. Then they snap something over the front of your neck and although it's not tight it is to keep you from moving. They put a little wedge under your legs so you're more comfortable and then they start to move back into the MRI. They give you a little button to squeeze in case you need the machine to stop for any reason because you're not feeling well or you're freaking out or whatever it is. You hold on to that during the entire exam and they also put headphones on you to help block out the machine sounds and ask you what kind of music you want to listen to. No matter what I don't think the music would ever be loud enough because you're in a giant magnetic machine and you're still going to hear it. The sounds are what I'd like to call similar to if you were inside of a trunk and somebody was running over rumble strip, and if you were inside of a washing machine on spin cycle. It doesn't shake you or jar you, but it is very loud. It was really weird. I didn't have any weird sensations but the table did get warm. I would say warm like if you got out of bed in the middle of the night and then crawled back in. Nothing that's going to hurt you but you do have that sensation. So other than the weird loud whistling sounds that I explained I just stared at the grey strip that was about a hands length in front of me the entire time I was in my MRI. Again it didn't bother me but it still was weird and I had a sensation that I was slightly moving a little bit down and a little bit up a couple of times. I assume that's because of the magnets, but I could have easily closed my eyes if that had made me feel sick. For the scan that I did it took about 20 to 30 minutes, I think I listened to like six songs and I just tried to hum them along in my head. They asked you to stay as still as possible for good reason and I just found if you focus on the music all the sudden you're done. You then get a disc of your entire scan to take home with you when you leave. That was pretty cool to be able to come home and look at all of the images. I understand that Basha has Open MRIs but the one that I was in was normal. They advertise that you could fit like four people in them and I've also heard of Open MRIs where the sides are open and I don't think that they have that at this particular location. So make sure if that's what you're interested in you call and ask questions. Again since I've never had an MRI I didn't really know if it would get claustrophobic but if you have ever been on the top bunk of a bunk bed when you were a kid really close to the ceiling and that made you feel uncomfortable, or if you crawl under your bed today and after about 3 minutes you felt like you needed to scream and get out, you probably will need to let them know before you schedule your appointment. read more

DC are not PHDs MD, but both can write a script for an MRI when DC are not licensed to provide a legal diagnosis for a script to be issued. The staff was great! HOWEVER, this is not the open MRI we expected. We just moved here and we found that defining what an open MRI is varies regionally. The MRI here is still a tube. Still can freak out a claustrophobic person. A true open MRI is like lying between two slices of bread. Nothing will be on your sides so you are able to see the world around you, you don't feel trapped, and there is no tube to go through. SEATTLE has the best open MRI's. I just got back from my contrast MRI @ Basha Sterling heights location..1-I got an appointment far quicker then I could at the hospital..2-everybody was very nice, I arrived a bit early and they got me right in..3-I didn't catch the young man's name, but I have terrible veins.. every single time I get blood taken, get an iv put in, it's a disaster that leaves me bruised and bloodied. Not here!!Thank God!! I would not hesitate to use them again,in fact with their quicker appointments, I'll go to them first! read more
