If you don't speak Spanish in Tampa yet, then you're missing out on about 50% of the social and…read more25% of the business opportunities in the Tampa Bay area. I found the women that run Spanish Consultants through a Spanish Meetup Group locally. I'm a wanna be Spanish speaker and have been skirting around getting real language lessons for a decade. Then when I started with a new company with about 40% Spanish speakers working there and an equally large share of the customers the same way I figured it was time. I was pleasantly surprised with both the instructors and their approach. You get the best of both worlds; the nuts and bolts of what you need to know to really speak and understand the language from Ingrid, and the advanced conversational skills from Lyl. This is different than staring at Rosetta Stone on your computer! The varied, social interaction you get from the classroom environment makes all the difference! They even offer specific industry specific classes, like Spanish for Medical Professionals and can develop one for your unique business. I would go to Spanish Consultants for Spanish classes in Tampa, Spanish tutoring, business Spanish classes.. or just for fun! They help organize events with the Spanish Meet Up group too.

I have a BA and can tell you, I would highly recommend New Horizons to anyone who is thinking about getting a new career. I've been to a lot of schools in my years. But none hold a candle to New Horizons Tampa. The reason why I say this, during my time at NH. I've had some major life hardships from a car accident to major depression. And everyone at NH went beyond what any school should do. They are truly genuinely compassionate and caring but students. Not money. The instructors Devin Ogden, Robert Campbell, Matt Grimes were prepared, engaging and always approachable. Even the front desk Brianne Bradford & Jade Lea-Wellington. Have help beyond the scope of their jobs Especially Bobby Ceklic (General Manager) you wouldn't believe how he is always approachable. And on point getting things done. Even if I was thinking I wasn't that important, but he showed me that even I mattered. Madison Haltiwanger Thxs for always making sure we get all or labs, books, and extra help. Scott MacDonald the man that sold me into this awesome School and always there through the good times and bad. Always following up on me. Debbie Haugland the miracle woman. She can take a horrible resume and turn it into a royal resume. And fulfilling all students with a match of a dream job. Thank you New Horizons of Tampa. Completing my BLS & CPR certification was a breeze. Covid has reduced the training to a video u…read morewatch ahead of coming to the class. It's about 50 minutes long and very detailed. When you show up for your "exam," don't be intimidated thinking you're going to be met with an intense written test. It's just you demonstrating that u can effectively deliver 2 sets of chest compressions and breaths. To prevent the spread of covid, the instructor takes only 2 people at a time into the room. If you're not paired with a person who never knows when to shut up like I was, you should be out of there in 5 minutes. You receive your card and certificate right away via email instead of hard copy like the website tells you. So don't pay for ANY of the add ons the website suggests to you.

This CPR class is a scam. I went in paying multiple extra fees to find out the website advertises…read morefalse promises in the first place. There was a 9.00 dollar charge to be able to "pass the exam guaranteed" if you weren't feeling confident. There was a second fee I paid of 7.00 dollars which stated "the CPR certificate card would be replaced up to two years if you lose it" and I paid over 85.00 dollars for the class alone. Come to find out they don't teach you CPR breathing (COVID-19) and you don't learn compressions on any dummy besides an adult. The whole experience to perform cpr was only compressions two times for one minute and it was done with and they certify you. On top of that, the written exam the website advertises was false. It was a oral exam given with everyone in the room and if you agreed with the other students answer and it was correct, the instructor moved on to the next question. To top it off, the instructor tells you at the end to get out of the class and they don't issue you a hard copy card which is advertised online. Instead, he informs you that you will get your certificate online through email and you can print it as many times as you please... (even though I paid for a hard copy in case of being lost & was told on the website that we would leave the establishment with one in hand). By the way, when I took a look at the certificate, if it is even real, it said it was issued in Michigan and I'm in TAMPA, FLORIDA. What a joke. Do not waste your money.
