There are plenty of places to explore if you don't want to be tied to your seat between innings. I love baseball, love the roar of the crowd, the sound of Tom Hamilton is the best sound a girl could ask for!

Mostly the people around us were super fun. Decent view. We ate before we went so we wouldn't be too hungry. Concessions are pretty ridiculous in price. But what are you going to do. They do have lots of variety. The more exotic the offering the more you're going to pay. You can get a cheap beer at the Dads beer stand. Otherwise it's going to cost you. The one beef I have is that they didn't have a lot of guys selling stuff when we were in our seats. 1 beer guy. That's it. I wanted a hot dog and no one ever came. Popcorn, cotton candy, nothing. Last year they came to the bleachers but not so much this year. They have a gluten free stand which is good. They probably need more options there too. The view is good. The entertainment value is good. Even though we lost. Lots of good Gaurds gear and merch. I do have to say the main merch store is smaller and not as good. I did like it when they had the wall of hats and the memorabilia like signed balls and locker tags. They are organized and helpful. Lots of fun to take in a game.

George V. Voinovich Bicentennial Park…read more This park is an absolute gem in Cleveland--peaceful, beautiful, and full of character. Voinovich Bicentennial Park sits right along Lake Erie, offering stunning panoramic views of the water. On a clear day, you're actually facing Canada, which lies just across the lake--how cool is that? Out in the water, there's a long rock barrier (part of the harbor breakwall system) that adds a coastal, serene feel to the entire landscape. When I visited, there was a live opera performance happening right in the park, which made the experience feel even more special. You can sit on the grass or along the cement steps, which makes it a great spot for a picnic, sunset-watching, or just relaxing near the water. There are often events held here, so it's worth checking the schedule if you're visiting--though honestly, just showing up might surprise you with something fun. The atmosphere is open and vibrant, but still calm and clean. You'll also find: * Boat rentals nearby if you want to get on the water * Restaurants right along the shore * Hotels with waterfront views, all within walking distance The park itself is well-maintained, clean, and has lots of visual interest, including ships docked nearby and big open views of the lake and sky. I visited in the evening, and the sunset over the water was absolutely breathtaking--a perfect end to the day. I can't wait to come back and spend more time here. Whether you're a local or just visiting, this is one of those spots that makes you stop, take a deep breath, and just enjoy where you are.

While I've never had a bad experience at a baseball game, Forefront and the Crushers are among the standouts. The Crushers are a Frontier League team. It's independent, which means many of the players here have either never made it to the MILB, or they did and it didn't work out like they wanted. In other words, they are playing their butts off to make it to the next level. Whether it's baseball, hoops, hockey or football, players at this level tend to warm my heart and feed my appetite for excellent competition. Besides, lower level baseball is just flat-out fun. Though I always root for the home team, it was a little different this time around, as the family of Evansville's starting pitcher was sitting right next to me. His name was Ben, and I found myself cheering for him as well. He was small by MLB standards, and his pitching was a mixed bag. Still, like everyone else on the field, he was living a dream. I was certainly honored to see it. As for Forefront Field, it's small with nary a bad seat in the house. The beer selection is as good as any ballpark, and the hot dogs were divine. The mascot here, Stomper, is a real trooper. The poor dude had to be sweating his rear end off, but he still played along with the crowd. If I lived in these neck of the woods, I'd be a season ticket holder. This is wonderful family entertainment, and the baseball playing is clutch.

Cudos to…read morethe Wolstein Center, the event was great, admission was handled smoothly and on time, the concourse was clean and well staffed, the auditorium looked great with the AEW set and the national cable broadcast looked great. About the only quibble I had was that the sound was a bit muddy from time to time so that it was hard to hear what was being said, of course some of that was a very excited and noisy crowd in attendance. The Wolstein Center is a great size for events, big enough to get a good sized crowd while still being compact enough that all of the seats are pretty close. The Wolstein Center is not flashy, but it has held up well and is a really good venue for events. While there is no dedicated parking there are plenty of lots and street parking nearby. Of course any venue like this depends on what event you are going to, if there is something that you want to see at the Wolstein Center go for it.

One of my favorites things is seeing Akron Children's Hospital overseeing the ball park. I can only imagine how much it brightens a child's day to look out their hospital room window to see the inside of the ball park. There was a 2026 Extreme Foods article written about food at Akron Rubberducks ball park. My family and I decided to try a couple. The pictures here show The Italian Sausage Dugout from the Bier Garten. For $22 you get the Italian Sausage Dugout (sausage, peppers, onions, marinara, and mozzarella cheese) and a souvenior cup with pop. I was excited and looking forward to this all day, but it was a let down. It wasn't hot in the inside and the French bread tasted like it came out of the freezer. A couple of my other family members got the TeriAkron bowl from the Pineapple Under the C and won't be getting it again. It wasn't as flavorful as one would expect. Overall, a great experience watching the Rubberducks win!

It's located behind Westgate Mall and seems to be the place to go if you're into baseball as they have 5 baseball fields and a concession stand. They also have a playground, soccer field, and basketball court; all of which people were using. I'd say this is very active well used park. A paved walking trail can be found here that gets you throughout most of the park, but more like a U shaped perimeter path than a full circle around though. They also have restrooms, a picnic shelter, a water fountain, and plenty of parking. A busy but nice park; I would visit again.

I actually like the field overall but the service we get for adult leagues is pure garbage. They NEVER work on the field anything more than they need to. If you get rain it's just a rain out, when a little diamond dry, a rake and effort would easily make it playable.
