While I do not support Lululemon's attitudes toward full figured folks, it is hard to deny that their clothing is well made and functional. When I went to this store yesterday, both J and I bought clothing because their sale section was so large!!! It was awesome. I've never seen one of the American locations with even 1/4 of the amount of sale/clearance merchandise. They also had a teapot for free samples of their blood orange tea. The pot was almost empty, but boy were those last few cold drops tasty! And if you're American, the prices are in NZD roughly what they would be in USD. A top that is $99 USD in the United States would still be $99 NZD here. That means that you get an additional discount if you're American because the current exchange rate values NZD lower than USD.

I thought I had forgotten my gaiters at home so bought a pair. Found them in my bag and tried to return. Nope! They even had the audacity to tell me that their policy protects me as the consumer to not take returns. What? The truth came in his following words: "also, protects us if you buy something and then walk down the street and find it for half the price." Their prices are three times the price of everyone else in town. They were charging $30 for butane. Bought the same butane down the street for less than $10. Save your money and shop elsewhere! --- All accurate info. I have no reason to lie. This was certainly a frustrating experience, but when they refused to take the unused gaiters back I ended up exchanging them for a fleece that I now love and wear all the time. Still would have preferred my money back, but happy ending, right? Ok, cut to tonight. A month and a half later. One of the guys (who I assume works at Small Planet Sports, since he refers to the store as "our shop") FINALLY replies to my review. I was expecting the "We're so sorry you had an unpleasant experience" response. Wrong again. He was just replying to troll me! A MONTH AND A HALF LATER! These guys are the absolute worst. Do not shop here. They take horrific customer service to another level. Just take your business elsewhere and sleep well at night knowing that you didn't give your business to garbage human beings.

I had checked their Instagram out and loved the styles! When we arrived, the staff member had stepped out so we had to return ~20 minutes later to be let in. Upon entering, the shop was much smaller than I'd expected. The shop items were very cute, with cool designs and great options. I just wish there was more! There were probably 5-6 womens styles of shirts and hoodies, 6-8 mens styles, and a few hats. I would have loved to see more variety in colors and design: some I loved the design and not the color, and vice versa. They do offer one small changing room with a curtain, but with many people in a small space, a line starts to form fast. I ended up trying a hoodie on just in the store and guessed on the shirt. I ended up getting a soft t-shirt and SUPER soft hoodie for myself and a corduroy bucket hat for my brother. I had a bit of sticker shock at the register: these prices are not cheap! I had gotten accustomed to the NZ dollar pricing, but these were especially high. I will say, they are not skimping on the quality of materials! Service was a bit short and not as friendly as we'd found throughout NZ - they seemed a little annoyed by customer questions. But overall, a great spot for souvenirs you won't find at other shops! PS - there's a ROAM shop in Te Anau that is much bigger and great variety / changing rooms / customer service!
