Unfortunately, that was not the case. My tax preparer was Leonard Gbekie, he started friendly and then afterwards was not respectful. Refused to answer my calls, was continuously unclear. Then after l asked for a call he ignored my request and proceeded to text me. Then after I requested once again the next day he proceeded to respond condescendingly. And further refused to clarify. As a member of the military, I do value clear communication and promptness. Both of which Leo failed to meet. I asked for my documents back and to discontinue business with which he responded by further trying to speak down on me. He was what felt like continuously rude, inconsiderate, and unkind. I genuinely would veer away from doing business with their company. Do your research and take your business elsewhere. I paid almost $1000 dollars for my taxes to be completed and the service I got was absolutely awful. Do not make the same mistake. Update: I was willing to leave this review and leave with my refund and move on. But upon stumbling across Mr. Gbekie's response which felt dishonest, I believe more details are necessary for my honest review. I want the truth about my experience to be shared His response felt like an attempt at discrediting myself, misguiding others, and trying to save face. One thing I cannot support is anyone or business I feel is dishonest in any form. Accountability is what I value and respect, that was not given to me here with this business. At every step I tried to be communicative, understanding, and kind. I was never late, always respectful, and very clear in communication when he unfortunately overstepped a boundary. I did not threaten him once. After repeatedly letting him know he had burned our business relationship and lost my trust, I repeatedly asked for a refund. He was acting shady and refusing to do so. At that point I let him know I will 100% get law enforcement involved in order to right the situation and protect myself. Below are simply texts indicating how I communicated. I was polite, short, and sweet. And then once my trust was lost and I found myself having to explain information based on what I perceived as his lack of understanding and distrust-worthy behavior. From changing hours listed on their google, to forcing me to text in the first place, to talking down on me. Lots of what felt like condescending, and shady behavior. My text responses are reflective of the trust that was there and then shift once it was lost. Anything else perceived in my messages is purely up to speculation to the reader. But as far as my intention in these messages are simply to show the truth of how I my texts changed based on trust as well as me repeatedly asking for a refund. This review is in no way meant to dissuade future customers, or to put down Mr. Gbekie's character. Simply to outline the truth of my experience and perception of him. I personally will never conduct business with him as I feel he is untrustworthy. That is all. Form your own opinions and perception of him with your own experiences.
