I've already signed and completed my visit, and there was no discussion of extra costs at that time. Patients deserve transparency and honesty -- not surprise charges after the fact. I followed every instruction they sent, completed pre-check-in earlier in the day, arrived early, scanned my check-in barcode, and checked in at the desk. While sitting in the waiting room, I received a text at 4:44 PM, one minute before my appointment, saying my appointment had been cancelled. When I went back to the desk, I was told they had been trying to verify my insurance for about 20 minutes, yet no one told me there was an issue while I was sitting right there. My insurance has not changed in over a year. I had taken time off work to attend this appointment and followed every step they required, only to have it cancelled without warning while I was already in the building. When I asked to speak to the doctor, I was told the doctor had already left just minutes after my scheduled appointment time. Very disappointing experience and a complete waste of time. All I did was show up on time, with my insurance card, identification and my debit card for a co-pay.

I love Dr. Pimentel because he is down to earth, smart and a good doctor. A few months ago I felt awful and thought I had the flu. I walked in at 7am and begged to be seen. I got worked in within 30 minutes and promptly got a flu test to confirm that I did in fact have the flu. The nurse was sweet and turned down the lights in my exam room because my head was pounding, her idea! I got my tamiflu pills and felt better the next day. It is rare to get worked in so quickly and I really appreciated that. I've seen the guy dozens of times over the last 10+ years and I'm sure I have been a difficult patient at times but I love him and will keep coming back. My mom, stepdad, and husband also see him and love their experiences. They have long hours (like 7-7 on some days) so getting in around my work schedule is easy. My only complaint is the PAs, which I prefer not to see, but I always have the choice to see Dr. Pimentel so I am pleased. TIP: The wait can be long as expected in a busy practice so it's best to get the first or last appointment of the day.

Brought my dad to the urgent care after taking an injury to his ribs. When we arrived at about…read more10:30am, there were no other patients so he was checked in immediately and seen by the doctor within minutes. I've never been to such an urgent care with such fast and attentive service. Doctor Chang ordered a CT scan to check the abdomen, ribs and liver area and was fine with the scan in under 5 minutes of admittance. So glad we came here. Now I will say the imaging results are making up for the speedy check-in. It's been over an hour since the CT scan and still awaiting results. So while the check-in process was speedy, getting the results back will test your patience considering how fast the admittance process was. In any case, it's still a great facility. Clean, quiet, friendly staff. I hope I don't need urgent care but if I'm in Houston and find myself in a jam, I would certainly choose to come here.
