Over ten years ago max became my cardiologist but only for a short time. Initially he diagnosed me…read moreas having a heart attack and sent me to what was the university community hospital for a heart catheter to determine damage. Upon next office visit after cath Max said I had not had a heart attack and would not provide me the catheter results. I decided to go elsewhere to continue care and the new dr could not obtain records. To date the records have not been provided to any doctor via request of that doctor. Max can kiss my ass until he explains why my doctors cannot have any of his records which I signed a release for. The end

I was referred to this cardiologist by my primary care physician after I was hospitalized with…read morecomplications after my pregnancy. I had done my hospital follow up with the hospital cardiologist but he didn't seem concerned with my symptoms so I decided to see another doctor and wound up with Dr. Rattes. Dr. Rattes takes a thorough medical history, listens to your concerns, performs a proper medical exam, and then will send you for testing as he sees necessary. He ends the visit by asking "have I answered all of your questions today". The first test didn't give a conclusive reason for my symptoms, so I am now having some more done. The staff was also friendly with helping me make appointments around my schedule to find child care and there is a portal where you can view your records.

- I say he's the best Primary Physician in Highlands County and I'm sticking to it! -…read more As an older Yelper (age 72) I have the experience to know a great doc when I experience one. I've been with him for 11+ years and here is what it's like to visit this practice. Arriving- He is in private practice and owns his own very nice stand-alone building with private parking. It is just off US Route 27 North. Parking is a snap. Ambience- The interior is spotless with a comfortable waiting room. I don't spend much time there as his process is very efficient. His treatment rooms are also very comfortable. Network- He is part of the Advent Health System as are all of my specialist MDs. It's wonderful and extremely convenient that all of my Docs have access to all my records! Intake Process- When I show up, I usually see two or sometimes three folks that take care of the basics. They are friendly and efficient, do their thing and then pop me into a treatment room. So customer service is exemplary. I usually wait about five minutes before the boss shows up. Bedside Manner- If you are expecting a crisp white jacket and formal attitude, you are in the wrong place! He usually wears shorts and for me he hits just the right balance between casual and getting the job done! Super easy to talk to. If I get a blood test, he calls me within a week after the results are in. Faster if it's something serious. Language Barrier- Folks sometimes ask me if he has a difficult accent and the answer is absolutely not! Anyone who has ever met him will say the same. A quick visit to the front desk to pick up any follow up paperwork and I'm out of there! Conclusion- So I experience an excellent environment with solid caring and friendly staff. My records are organized across my Docs. Dr. Sharma's bedside manner suits me, and I trust him! It's a solid five stars from me!
