My husband and I are small business owners and are between insurances trying to decide/figure out what's best for our family. So today, I arrive to my visit for the first time in my lifetime without insurance. The receptionist proceeds to tell me a well child visit as a private payer (without insurance) is 440.00 per child plus the cost of the immunizations (which would be extremely expensive). So I pick my jaw up off the counter and again asked what was the price? Yes, ma'am 440.00 per child... now I only know this is absurd because my husband also had a well visit recently at his physician at the Watson clinic for 135.00 (without insurance). So you're telling me that the price for your service is 3X what other Dr's are charging? Not today, and never will we return. So the real question is does Lakeside Pediatrics just not want to serve patients without insurance? VERY DISAPPOINTED!

Me and my son walked in and this facility and saw there was an insanely amount of people waiting in the office. After seeing that, you are then greeted by a distasteful, nasty and rude woman (I wish I got her name). I literally had to grab my son and leave the building for her safety because of how nasty she was. One thing I learned upon starting my career in the medical field, is that you actually have to like people and want to help people to be in the medical field and you can just tell she is just an all around NASTY person. She was speaking to ALL the patients in a rude tone as well as her co workers. I sat there in shock. My son's appointment was scheduled for 9:55 I was there at 9:50 and was there all the way up until 10:40 waiting to be called and still was not called so when I asked her if it was going to be long before the doctor called us, she then replied there was THREE doctors working (yet no one was being called back) her tone so rude and was cutting me off every sentence I tried to speak, so before I stooped even lower, I grabbed my son and made him an appointment today with another doctor. Definitely will not be back here 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND! With gas prices being this high I will still drive an extra 20 minutes to get my son seen at a better doctor because this place is NOT IT.

What's the sense of having a pediatrician when she is not available to see your child!! I had to go through the hassle of calling super early on a Saturday morning to get an appointment for same day because it's on a first come based on weekends, and I ended up seeing Dr Hinds. The staff is normally friendly and helpful, there's valet if you really desire and the security guards are always friendly if you need helping finding which floor & desk to go to. This is not the closest clinic to me, but it's the one I choose to go to because it's such a better and pleasant experience. The ExpressCare attached to the back is also much better for an urgent care as well. Maybe the only bad thing is getting in and out of the clinic- it's on one of the only steep inclines in Lakeland along the busy 540A so that can get a little tricky.

Upon retirement, I began Medicare and my advantage plan was not accepted at Watson so I had to go to a different doctor. On my first visit I had bloodwork and was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, and high cholesterol.Only a few months prior I had bloodwork at Watson and nothing was found in regard to either issue. I am now on multiple meds to treat both. My neighbor's son went to Watson and was misdiagnosed for almost 2 years before it was discovered he had Cancer. I could list more cases, but I think my point is clear.
