I typically never post reviews, but I feel compelled to this time, because Barton Overhead Door did such an amazing job helping me with my garage door! We accidentally backed our van into the garage door before it rose all the way up. The door looked mangled... the track was kinked and bent, the door itself was dangling half way off the track and crunched out, and because of that damage, I couldn't get the door to even just roll down. I thought for sure we were going to have to spend around $1,000 for a new door that day, or leave our garage open and unsecured. We thought about going through Costco to take advantage of the great rates and discounts we often get through them... they mentioned they would have their local contractor affiliate reach out to me that day, but admitted that it would probably take a couple days for a new door install to occur. Until the affiliate reached out to me, I had two other companies respond and say they would be able to install a new door that same day. Then Barton themselves called. They introduced themselves as the Costco affiliate, and after speaking with a few people regarding all our options, they mentioned that they could dispatch a technician who could see if they can repair the door instead of going through the process to install a new one, and that if it couldn't be repaired that day, they'd know what they were working with and could provide an estimate for a replacement. In my mind I felt the door was irreparable, but I recognized I'm not an expert on garage doors, so we decided to have the technician look at it, and if he wasn't able to repair it, we could go with anyone else that could install a new door that same day (sorry Barton... I felt desperate in that moment). The dispatcher said the technician would arrive between 11am - 1pm. Juvenal arrived right around 11am. He looked at the door, and nonchalantly said that he could fix it... he admitted that the bottom panel that the van crunched into might have a few kinks in it when he was done, but at the very least, it would definitely work like it had before the accident, which would buy us time if we still wanted a new door so we could choose the options we truly wanted... but more importantly, he assured me that a new door that day was an unnecessary expense. So we decided to proceed with the repair. Twenty minutes later, the door looked like it did before the accident! He repaired the door and the track without changing out any parts, and all we had to pay for was the labor and inspection fee, saving us hundreds of dollars! Any company could have taken advantage of my inexperience and obvious despair when I thought the situation was irreparable and we needed a new door... but instead, Barton provided incredible service and integrity. Instead of selling us a new door, they found an opportunity to save us, both in our door crisis, and in my pocketbook. They definitely EARNED our trust and respect. I would like to give a shout out to Lynn at Barton Overhead Doors. I am the Office Manager at Rainbow Restoration of Modesto, we had a customer whose garage door and house were run into by a speeding hit and run driver during the night. She was unable to get her car out of the garage and had plans to go to the Bay Area for Christmas celebration today. We did not take the chance of moving the garage door because it could have fallen off. I called Barton Overhead Doors and spoke with Lynn to see if they were providing services since it was after 3:00 pm and everyone was wrapping up to be off for Christmas Eve and Day. She was kind enough to send a service technician to my customer's house within 20 minutes and he was able to get the garage door open, she got her car out and he closed the mangled door. We were able to secure the property safely. Our customer was overjoyed to get her car out and will be able to take the cakes she was baking to her family's Christmas dinner. Had Barton out to do a new install back in April of this year. After a initial problem with the first person they sent out, (I won't get into it) they sent out Rafael the same day to do the install, perfection doesn't come close to describing his work or customer service. Recently, I was in a mad hurry to load up some things for storage and backed into my new garage door. I called Barton and set up a service call and was lucky enough to get Rafa out again. After we laughed about what I had done, he proceeded to repair the door and had it done in no time at all. Perfection! That's all I can say. My garage door opener was repaired yesterday by Dave from Barton's. He ROCKED! Their customer service person (Cassandra) was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. I had a previous estimate, where the person insisted I needed a new motor, new door, more braces....and the cost was close to $1,200!!!! I decided to get another estimate, and am thrilled I did. The phone estimate from Barton's was $486. When Dave suggested it would work for a very long time with a repair, I agreed. He added a brace, lubricated the chain and runners, and left the can with me! My cost? $220!!!! If you need help, CALL THEM!!!!!! I will never consider anyone else. read more

An elderly widow in our neighborhood called another company and for a simple track repair was quoted for new springs and a new motor she did not need. It was shameful what the other company tried to do to her. We intervened in her behalf and called Barton on Carpenter Road. They understood the situation and within a few hours dispatched a gentleman repairman. He reviewed her situation, touched up a few things and said thanks-No Charge. I have used the services of Barton Overhead for installation on a couple of different buildings of mine. My oldest installation on our house was over 30 years old and was working fine except you just can't get replacement or universal remote controls. I bought a couple of old remotes on line, but that only lasted a couple of more years. So Barton installed the quietest model on the market. We can't even hear it inside our house. We had our new garage door installed on Tuesday. We couldn't be happier! Barton Overhead Door showed up on time to start the job and completed the removal and installation of our door in just a couple of hours. The installer, Dillon, was courteous, knowledgable and a hard worker...he even made a couple of minor corrections to the work of a previous company who should have done a better job. Barton Overhead's service is very efficient and friendly. The serviceman arrived on the promised time. His work is fast and good. He also gave me some advice on how to maintain my garage door. The charges are reasonable. They even tried to save homeowner's money by asking us to contact the manufacturer for parts directly. Once we received the part, we schedule an appointment for the serviceman to install it. Super service! The spring on our garage door had snapped. I received a window of time to come out of 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. I received a call at 11:00 a.m. and was told the serviceman was on his way and would be there by 11:30 a.m.. Replace expired batteries. Since the batteries in the motor for the garage door automatic closure are specialized, I called Barton to inquire if they could obtain and replace them. They came the next day; the service man replaced and lubricated the tracks and made general inspection of the equipment. Dillon showed up at 7:55 and was extremely professional and took our the entire old door and replaced it with a brand new door and Brand new lift master opener. He had everything taken out and installed in two hours. Great service. He took the time to help us use the app to open and shut the door with our phones. What a great service. Barton Overhead Door repaired a broken spring for me. Mr. Bravo did the replacement install. He was efficient and prompt. The appointment was set for a service window of 12 to 2 and he was there just a few minutes after 12 and the repair was completed much quicker than I expected. Totally satisfied with the repair of my garage door opener. Came out the day I called, tech quickly determined that the belt was the problem. Expecting to pay for a new belt (old one was 24 years old), I was unexpectedly advised that the belt had a lifetime warranty. Long story short, three days later I received the new belt from Liftmaster and Barton's tech came and replaced the belt on the next day. Only charged for a fair-priced service call. I used the information provided to me, ordered the belt and called Barton for another appointment. Went in to Barton and scheduled an appointment to have a door installed. They came out and took measurements right away. A couple of weeks later I had a new door of high quality.
