I wanted to leave a google review but those are turned off. I really wanted to love this school,…read morebut sadly that didnt happen, this school and the whole AISD system is a joke, my daughter was sexual assault at this school, it took them the whole school year with a Tile 9 to try to get the student removed, finally June 2025 they let me know that yes they find the child responsible for sexual assault but they would only send her to ALC for 20days and keep a stay away order in place, mind you the stay away order doesnt do anything, the child was still coming into contact with my child, I would have to email every week, just to keep records for myself. and for the record this child didnt just sexual assault my child there were alot of other girls, I do wonder if a boy had done this if they would of taken this more serious, because the girl that was doing this was always in trouble, then to top it off someone broke into her locker stealing a pair of 120.00 shoes , the girl was so bold she even wore them to school and these shoes were not easy to come by my daughter was the only child in school to have these shoes when they came out, she was so proud of that. stay away if you can, I was so shocked how things went for our first year there, given the location and neighorhood it was in.

They offer lots of after school activities ( enrichment classes ) like Spanish, cooking, piano, sports, art. They have a beautiful location with green belt hiking trails for the children. My child having access to nature is very important and they deliver. They also have a very magical play yard. My son had never attended a school or daycare and the loving and beautiful environment they offer made it a seamless transition. You will not regret sending you child to this school.

My son is in kinder now and he is so well-prepared that his teacher asked us eagerly where he went to preschool so she could share it with other parents. My daughter is in the 3yo class this year and she has truly blossomed socially and emotionally during her time there. We've also made some great friends over the years through the St Mark's community of families. If you are looking for a sweet and loving preschool for your child, I highly recommend St. Mark's Episcopal Day School! They offer tours year round and you can get on the wait list anytime!

Our son has been attending Guidepost Montessori Westlake since he was 18 months old, and now at almost 4 years old we couldn't be happier with our experience. Our son has a big personality and can be very energetic, and the guides have always met him with incredible patience, kindness, and understanding. We've seen amazing growth in his social skills and language development, and he has become much more confident communicating with both children and adults. A very special thank you to Ms. Angela and Ms. Jacqueline. They are truly wonderful guides who care deeply about the children. Their calm, nurturing approach has made such a positive difference for our son. They were also incredibly supportive during potty training, approaching it with patience and encouragement, which made the process so much easier for our family. The school environment is beautiful, clean, and thoughtfully prepared, and the administration is always organized, responsive, and supportive. We also love the enrichment programs offered at the school like Kinder Dance, piano lessons, Spanish, and sports, which give the children wonderful opportunities to explore different interests. Most importantly, our son is happy and excited to go to school every day, which says everything. We feel very grateful to be part of the Guidepost Montessori Westlake community. Parent perspective: "As a parent, there is nothing more reassuring than knowing your child is safe, respected, and truly cared for every day. Guidepost Montessori Westlake has been an incredible place for our son to grow." If you're a parent looking for a thoughtful, patient, and well-run Montessori toddler or preschool program in Westlake or Austin, this school is truly a special place for children to learn, grow, and thrive

Activities are well thought-out and there is ample time built into each day for arts & crafts, reading books, playground time, and other activities (and oh yes, the all-important nap!). The staff-to-child ratio is higher than what we have seen at other daycares and the current head of school, Courtnee, has gone above and beyond in getting to know each child and their parents. One benefit to a Montessori model is having mixed age classrooms. Especially with the toddler room (18 months - 3 yrs), it provides the opportunity for younger kids to see behavior and action modeled by older kids, particularly with potty training. Our son can see children of the same age or slightly older go through that step and I think it has taken out much of the anxiety. He has picked up good habits such as helping to clean up and put things back, sharing, and being kind to others, and I am confident he is safe, well cared for, and growing while at Guidepost.
