One of the sprayers in an old Jacuzzi tub in one of our units was leaking and the plumber we called out to look at it gave us an estimate that fixing it would run into the thousands of dollars, so I called Donald to go down to see if he could come up with alternatives. At first, he suggested that he could probably fix the sprayer for a reasonable amount or replace it with a standard tub, but the tenants asked if we might install an in-unit washer-dryer instead. Donald said he'd be able to do that as well. He is always prompt in responding to messages and the quality of his work was top notch as always (see photos). I'll also add that he was generous with his time and willingness to share advice on how to address other home improvement issues with our rental property that we did not ultimately ask him to fix, such as helping us look up solutions to install a collapsible ladder to access the attic and replacing patio doors. I'm thankful that he was willing to drive all the way down to the city to do the work, and he was very fast and efficient in getting the job done. In addition, we ran into a couple of issues with matching tiles in the bathroom and putting doors on over the new space for the in-unit washer-dryer combo. Each time he was great with his communication and offered thoughtful advice. He also went above and beyond by making two extra trips downtown to address those problems. I sincerely appreciate how he makes sure to get the job done right, and with quality. My biggest concern in writing a second glowing review of him is that he'll get too much work and won't have any time to help me when I need his help again! lol. Donald is awesome. Waldron was the most hands off General Contractor with whom I have ever done business…read more Fortunately, my husband was retired from the building trades and could act as the project manager while tradesmen from a variety of subcontracted firms requested direction. Interestingly, the firm subcontracted 2 different carpentry firms. one to build an overhang on our front door and the other, Jenson Carpentry, to build a new pool house. Jenson as a subcontractor was outstanding The pool house was completed before the overhang on our front door. Waldron insisted on us ordering our custom front door from a particular manufacturer in order to get his "Warranty". The door cost twice the price we planned to spend and was not delivered until nearly a year after we wrote a check in full to Waldron. Months elapsed before we, as the customer, heard from the manufacturer for clarifications. There were many issues and many emails between us as the customer with the manufacturer, not with Waldron. When we received the door, it did not meet our requirements provided in writing to Waldron. Waldron told us it was not his problem.

They exceeded all of our expectations…read more We redid a few rooms of flooring (including one bathroom), changed out a lot of the trim, and upgraded the stairs from carpet to hardwood. Peter is probably one of the most professional contractors I've ever hired. He confirmed the start of the project the day before, showed up on time every day of our 3-4 day project, finished at a decent hour (so we could have our evenings to ourselves), and kept me informed about the progress of the project every step of the way. Everything was contracted and professionally handled in terms of invoicing. He made suggestions for how to improve the appearance of our home in certain places and gave us up-front pricing about every additional change we could add on if we wanted (we took all of his suggestions and so glad we did!). He paid such great attention to detail, fixing so many errors throughout the house that previously were there...things I didn't even know needed fixing! So many of our doors were not sealed correctly and the flooring was all a mess, they fixed it all for us. This was a big project for us - we saved for a whole year for this project - I am so happy we chose to work with IDC.
