I was stunned. TI did not thing that kind of customer dervice was still happening. HE gave it to me ,I said Thank you and went to hand him my E-Card and he said keep it maybe you will figure it out or call the company and see if they could help. This is really just another Home Depot location -- and a busy one at that! We've had some pretty…read moregood experiences here over the years. It is in a busy shopping area of the city and so it can get a bit complex getting in and out of the parking lot given the other nearby businesses but that ought to change once the Costco closes and that car traffic moves. Nonetheless I find this location pretty well organized just like any other Home Depot location and have purchased things here that have been useful for my household needs.

Plus Andrea from…read morepaint walked me over to a specialty item, I was having difficulty finding. For that reason I upped my score two points. Minus The staff are exceptionally skittish and I had more help from customers than employees. One employee in appliances made such an argumentative stance for serving me. Had been paged to assist me. The staff member that paged for me stepped up and scolded him. I dislike stores that have employees that would rather be on break or welfare. Some enthusiasm goes a long way. I decided that I would buy the fridge water filter elsewhere. It was too difficult to gain a little assistance. I also lost the energy to spend any more money for items still on my list. Good job Mr. Minus you know who you are.

I am a homeowner not buying a volume of parts. Jullian at the south side store helped me find a…read moresmall part that I would have otherwise not known existed. She was super helpful and called me back a few times with answers after I sent her some photos. I was really impressed with her service and wanted to buy the part there. However, it would have taken longer to ship in and I would have had go to the store to order it as they don't take credit cards over the phone. My contractor was impatient and once we knew the part he found it at home depot. And yes it was a bit cheaper. But this is the problem! as with AMAZON. If we don't patronize the companies that know their business and who hire people with expertise how will they survive? Of course, it costs more to pay for expertise. But everyone is impatient and so just use these companies when they need expertise. This is why Canada will decline. Eveyone wants the cheapest thing and forgets the real cost of service. And so American companies with huge capital can out-compete these service oriented companies. Of course, I am aware that Woseley, has been bought out by yet another private equity American company and I don't know how they treat their staff, but at least in my experience, they know their stuff and it was invaluable to me. But I fear for the future of our economy, Canadian jobs, and the need to have everything immediately and at the lowest costs. What are we losing in the long term? Competition is generally a good thing but ruthless competition may kill everything good.

Amazing service. Wide selection of lighting. Affordable or extravagant peices. Clearance in august…read moreand september. There is quite the selection of peices online. But to save you time. Just narrow down the search to the particular style you want and come to the store. Service is spectacular here. Upon walking in, i was greeted and helped instantly. There are some beautiful peices here for any price range. The nice part is that everything is hung and lights are on so you can see the full effect. The ceilings are 12 feet high so they are typical of most homes. They have lots of sale items which are typically the last lf the item and are used as displays. These can be bought and taken home the day of sale. Other items if are not carried in stock take about 4 weeks...any sooner and its possible for damage to occur to the lights. I luckily snagged an amazing peice for just $39 regular $450. It was the last of its kind and display but they were doing the clearance to make room for the new inventory which arrives in october. Within one hour i had my peice all cleaned up like new and packaged nicely for transport. They sell all sort of light bulbs here too. So you can get all your needs met on one visit. The difference of here and the chain stores are that the service is spectacular. Theres a wider selection. And you get to see displays in use so that you can visulaize the light they give off. A must visit if you are buying a new home or renovating!
