I was coming from the second floor and took a picture of my wife on the glass staircase. I have done it in SoHo and 14th Street and the 5th Avenue store. No problem.
I used my iPhone to take pictures for this review and an employee came and told me to stop. I thought I had heard her incorrectly so I said "Excuse me?" politely. She repeated herself. I was somewhat surprised. As a lawyer, I understand what the definition of privacy is, and where you have your glass door wide open, it would appear that you aren't claiming any exclusivity or privacy rights.
The photos I took are below. I don't blame the employee: I am sure she was instructed to act. But not great public relations.
Now I am looking at the Microsoft Surface.
