They have the kind of meats you can't find in Iceland or Tesco, such as organ meats, spare ribs, and minced pork; common items, but not common enough for your high street retailer to stock. Now that summer is coming they have a greater variety of skewers. I recently tried their Kofta skewers (a bargain at 49p each), which were really tasty! They also have ready-made sauces and even some pasta in the store, which I will have to try someday.

The staff are friendly and competent while the food is so delicious you can even taste the freshness of the ingredients and I do not believe anyone could complain about the portion sizes. The best but probably busiest times to visit the deli are during their fantastic seasonal sales (post Easter, Christmas, etc) where you can pick up perfectly good quality stock very cheaply. During the rest of the year the East Dulwich Deli is rather pricey, but you do get what you pay for and in this case I think it is worth it.

The cut is just so beautiful. The prices are expensive though. This is like a holiday meat place. Go here for your Christmas turkey or your Easter sirloin steak. They don't really discount, so maybe you can buy one slab of meat a week from here for Sunday dinner. If you do want to sample some of their meat but you're on a budget, usually during warm weather periods they smoke/roast a pig on the road outside of their shop and make pork sandwiches on the weekend. The pig smells delightful as you're walking up the street. When you see it on the skewer rotating around it looks kind of sad because usually the head is still on it, but it still smells so good. The sandwiches are amazing and they're only £3. So sorry for the little oinker that's on the barby, but so happy for my tummy.
