After getting my first crown due to a cracked tooth from my dentist I started experiencing EXTREME…read morepain. I began avoiding eating and drinking ANYTHING (even at room temperature) because of it. I waited it out thinking it was just trauma to the tooth. After 2 weeks (of denial and bearing through the pain) I contacted my dentist and they gave me a referral to this office. Now for some personal history... I have the worst case of dental phobia... I'm sure past experiences fueled that, but my fear is beyond what some would consider the normal "I hate going to the dentist." I have sleepless nights over it and nausea if I know I need to go in... even just for a cleaning... I sweat and shake while in the chair... complete anxiety. Finding out I needed a root canal after just going through getting a crown was not great news. This office has been kind, gentle, supportive, and above all patient with me. They showed me compassion, provided proper communication, and gave me the confidence that I was in control of the situation. The empathy that was shown to me during this process was a monumental step in giving me the ability to be able to conquer my fears about dentistry. It might sound dramatic to some, but this is a daunting challenge for me. Stephanie Chen and her staff have made an incredible impact in my life for the future. This experience is something I will always be grateful for. I was able to eat my first real meal tonight after my appointment today. So if you are anything like me... this is the office you wanted to be treated in. Thank you to Chen and the staff for giving me confidence I couldn't give myself and my quality of life back. I can't even convey properly how utterly grateful I am. Thank you.

I am back and just got a root canal today, in fact I jus s but the staff is amazing. I see Dr. T as in TEAM Him and his staff are truly amazing. They are so kind and thorough and excellent at what they did and do. I never felt an ounce of pain with my last root canal and I just can't tell you how great they are. It's like you walk in to family and they have the best rates and the best technology. There's many sunrise dental's if you live by Arlington definitely try and use their location because it's just like coming to your home and I never feel pain before or after or during my procedure they make sure that you were always as comfortable as possible. Their office staff is amazing. They are on it they know exactly how much you've left on insurance how much you have to pay out of pocket everything is literally talk to you immediately before the procedure so there's no surprises!! ..........! also they'll text you and you can text them right back they really go out of their way to give superior service and Dr. T they don't get better than him. In fact in my opinion he's fixing issues that my last dentist didn't do properly and it turned into needing a root canal. Even though dentist offices are closed right now they are open for emergencies and Dr. T and his staff got me right in since I had an exposed nerve and allot of pain. You will be in excellent hands and thank you Sunrise Dental of arlington for always having my back and making sure that I am comfortable and always I have been in amazing hands. Tarra D.

This was confirmed with 2nd person I spoke with on the phone at a later date. Unbelievable. I really wanted to like this place- I really did. The dentist is actually quite…read moreawesome. BUT WARNING! HIPAA VIOLATIONS!!!!! This review is due to the first impression and several impressions there after of their office manager Lisa. This woman is horrible!! Here are the quick bullets: - Lisa is racist - Lisa is violating HIPAA in a BIG WAY! - Lisa is asking for social security numbers to be texted to her personal phone - Lisa refuses to look up dental insurance - Lisa is a lawsuit waiting to happen Heres what happened: On my very first call to the office, I was looking to set up an appointment for a cleaning and possible referral for invis-align and at first everything seemed great.. Until Lisa made the following comment: "I can't trust the mexican girls to do my job the right way so I'm here when I don't want to be, I have laryngitis and should be not working but If I leave it to the mexican girls, things will get all sorts of crazy" I changed the topic quickly and tried to just get my appointment. When I got there for my cleaning Lisa handed me an Ipad to start filling out my medical information (seemed normal enough) - but then she made the following comment: "I give the ipad to the white people. You know you can't trust black folks and the colored ones to be smart enough to use this kind of thing" ARE YOU JOKING ME RIGHT NOW?! I politely let her know how uncalled and how incredible inaccurate I felt that was, but then I was escorted back to the doctor by the hygienist so that was the end of that day. Then- I had an appointment for a filling two weeks later and Lisa texted me 9 times in one day asking me for my dental insurance information. She then called me 3 times that day demanding I get her the information. By the last call, I finally answered and explained that I was at work, and reminded her that she told me I could bring my information into the office during my next appointment. She demanded that I give her the information right then and there. When I explained that I didn't have my card on me right at that moment, she asked me for my social security number. I told her I work around a lot of people who could overhear me and that i was not comfortable providing it at that time. She then got extremely snippy with me and demanded that I text her my social security number to her personal line so she could look up the information because she HAD TO HAVE IT RIGHT NOW! I reminded her again that she told me I could bring it into the office and that I would be more comfortable with that, as its my social security number.. I wouldn't text that to my mom, let alone a stranger? She then told me that since I can't do what she needs, she was going to cancel my appointment. I tried to call back when I got home with the information she needed, She answered my call, then hung up on me. I called back, she let me go to voicemail. I texted her on the line she had texted me on and explained that I really wanted to see the doctor, that I like the doctor and I enjoyed the vibe of the office but I felt that she was aggressive and shouldn't demand that information from someone in text form on a personal line due to HIPAA law... .... And 4 days later I get a letter in the mail saying that the doctor feels as though my dental work is better suited elsewhere. I'm honestly appalled... - You cannot say things like this - You cannot demand sensitive information in super insecure and unprotected ways - And to ban a patient because they called you out for violation of HIPAA just shows that there is a much bigger issue at hand. I will gladly take my dental work elsewhere.
