Barts is very 50/50 and im not saying that its a good/bad its a bad/worse. The delays on top of the people that use drugs and other stuff ON bart. People are dirty and leave their stuff everywhere. As im wiritng this review someone just spilled their drink all over the floor next to me. Constant bad experience. Even though they preach that it is clean and they keep a strict monitor on what happens on the trains they dont. Take a car if you can and if you can't im sorry you have to deal with this.

Hubby has to stand but smooth easy trip!

It's a great place to spend a day with the family, whether you're looking to learn something new, relax, or simply enjoy a beautiful day in Oakland. I especially appreciate that this museum participates in the Museums for All program, which helps make cultural and educational experiences more accessible to families. We had a wonderful visit and I'll definitely be coming back more often. If you're looking for a family-friendly activity that's both fun and educational, this museum is worth checking out.

The museum has three floors and their outdoor garden overlooking lake merrit. They have a little bit of everything, if you're curious about real history and wanting to learn more this is the place. Their annual membership is so worth. As they have several special events. Next to the museum they have plenty of parking. I take Bart as the stop is one block away. Chinatown is walkable for great restaurants. The Oakland library is close by too! There's a restaurant inside the museum while the food sounds great it's okay. I would recommend walking /driving to Chinatown or downtown Oakland for amazing food.

I ended up finally booking the garden for a large party this month and was impressed by the experience from start to finish. It's hard to believe that it's entirely volunteer-led! Everyone I met was clearly knowledgeable and passionate about the house, its history, and its preservation. Making a reservation was easy and the coordinators were kind and courteous during the whole process. The day-of place settings were beautiful and the food was some of the best I've had for tea in addition to being generous and variable in servings. There were even some kid-friendly items (including some non-caffeinated beverages) as I had a few young guests in attendance. The tour we had following our tea service was detailed and informative without being boring. The house itself is incredibly preserved and in immaculate condition. It was great learning about the history of the Pardee family and their influence in the Bay Area, California, and beyond. There were some interactive parts too including getting to touch some antique items and listen to some hand-cranked music players. I will undoubtedly be back sometime and highly encourage anyone who likes good food and vibes or learning about local history to book a visit themselves. If you have people from out-of-town visiting, the Pardee Home is an excellent first choice for doing something low-key and private but still touristy.

Huge thanks to Mr. Isaiah for the wildly entertaining tour of Mayor George Pardee's ridiculously awesome Victorian pad turned museum, where we scored major bonus points for meeting your hilarious Mom Debbie and getting the dirt on your family's roots. Can't wait to meet you again - we'll try to become members soon and maybe even plan a meetup to kick off events at your fantastic establishment... at least let us know if we can volunteer, because Mark and I are total volunteering rockstars.

It's clean, safe and easy to navigate from one level to the next. It still eludes me why there are so many more SF trains (Usually half empty during the weekday) than there are trains going elsewhere (Usually packed). So the negative 2 stars are because the non SF trains are fewer, not as nice/clean and way more packed...DO better Bart!

During that time, the train never arrived, and the delays and lack of communication caused me significant stress and emotional distress. I am already dealing with injuries and ongoing medical issues from a serious April 2026 accident, including MRI appointments and ongoing treatment. Because of the situation at BART that morning, I became overwhelmed and extremely upset and ultimately left instead of continuing to San Francisco for my appointment. As a result of this experience, I no longer feel comfortable or safe traveling into San Francisco for MRI appointments or medical care through BART. While at the station, I also attempted to get assistance regarding my missing phone and Cash App card. One officer identified herself with badge number 187, but I felt my concerns were not taken seriously. Another officer allegedly refused to identify himself, and I was told there was no watch commander available. I left feeling ignored, unsupported, and frustrated during a time when I was already under significant physical and emotional strain. I believe the public deserves professionalism, accountability, and compassion from public transit employees and officers, especially toward injured or vulnerable riders seeking help. I am documenting everything that occurred and pursuing formal complaints and legal channels to ensure this situation is properly reviewed. This statement is not about threats or violence. It is about accountability, transparency, and making sure no one else experiences this type of treatment while trying to access transportation or medical care.
