However, after changing my eating habits, I dropped a LOT of weight and needed a new suit; therefore, I decided to treat myself and finally paid a visit to Jos. A. Bank. Upon entering the store, I was greeted by salesperson Judson Hilburn. All of my pre-conceived notions about this store immediately disappeared, as Judson was very friendly and professional; and their suits were far less expensive that I had imagined. He was also extremely knowledgeable of their product line and let me try on several suits, as this would have to be my go-to suit since my other suits were now too big to be tailored and were given away to Goodwill. After trying on several offerings, and with a little reassurance from Judson, I purchased a suit and a shirt with an athletic build (I'm no athlete); as he stated it fit well with my recent weight loss. Also, don't be afraid to ask if something is going on sale soon if the price seems a little expensive, as Jos. A. Bank "throws" sales all the time. I was quite pleased that although the suit I selected was not on sale, he still discounted it to make it a little more affordable. I have been back since then to buy another dress shirt and tie to make this suit a little more versatile and Judson was just as helpful as he was during the initial purchase. I highly recommend shopping here if you are looking for men's formal wear, and although I'm sure all of the employees are good, I'd ask for Judson. As for now, this is my go-to place for men's formal wear.
