Additionally, it was conveniently next to the concert hall we were heading. What we got in the end was a surprise for all of us. First of all, the atmosphere inside was unique. From the chairs, tables to the wall decorations, you can tell this place held on to an appearance without making it seem like they are kicking off a trend. We were lucky to find a table for us because the whole place was packed till the concert time. I am not sure if it is always packed during the evenings or if the concert nearby helped add to the fire. The menu clearly stood out as unique. They had a few traditional Czech meals but there was also the additional main stream burgers, steaks, etc offered. These mainstream meals were given a twist of its own. There was either a different sauce to what you'd expect or brought together with side-dish you would not normally choose. The meals were all outstanding. If you are in Brno with a group of friends, head out here for an evening of drinks and meal. I can assure you, you will not be disappointed and will remember this place along with the towns sights. Our group still recalls Brno to the concert we saw and this cafe/pub/restaurant.

I was sad to see the dumpling and soup go away as I savored every spoonful. My husband had a potato soup that included mushrooms and he was pretty much freaking out about his soup as much as I was (in his own, subdued, calm manner....opposite mine!). Then Meine Damen und Herren. We have the Weinerschnitzel. Oh my goodness. We split the massive and simply prepared veal weinerschnitzel with the lemon wedge squeezing the only and perfect seasoning you need for this deliciousness in front of you. I cannot even express the greatness of the potato salad that accompanies. Smooth and creamy mustardy goodness. I would seek out this restaurant again. If every authentic Keller type dining experience is this good in Vienna; I am in big trouble!

It had an extremely authentic feel (full of old guys drinking beer, which I took as a good sign). I got the goose soup, which was incredible. My friend got the goose dumplings and likewise thought they were exceptional. They were beautifully plated, and the meat was very tender. We finished off with some delicious apple strudel. Our waiter spoke enough English to get by with us, and they had an English menu available.

It's also one of the few breakfast places in Vienna that isn't packed on a Saturday morning. In fact, the ambience is pleasantly quiet and calming. I ordered their homemade müsli, which was divine, while my mom got one of their breakfast sets with scrambled eggs, bread and an assortment of cheeses and hams. Some say that this place is a bit pricey but considering its location (in Palais Coburg) and the amount of food we got and the overall ambience, it was definitely worth it!
