My orthopedist completely misdiagnosed me, and he completely brushed off what I had thought it might be. He said that was too rare and he never sees it. Turns out it was what I had thought and was extremely severe. They sent me to do PT at a location which didn't have any actual PT appointments open for 3 months... But they allowed me to do a initial appointment to get a screening done which cost $140. Just to find out later that they just recommend I go somewhere else because they have no appointments, but of course you need a screening anywhere you go, so that was $140 down the drain. The final straw for me leaving this review is how hard they make it to get your own medical records. Their website says you can call their phone number which is just a robot which claims to call you back in 1 hour, but it was 3 days for me. Just to tell me you can only do it online and they charge you $6.50 to get your own test results, which I already paid to have done... Absolute scam of a practice. Stay Away. read more

I met with Dr. Alvi for a consultation on my hip. Dr. Alvi was professional and kind and a no nonsense approach to what needs to be addressed. He went through each part of what was to be done for surgery. The what, where, why and how of each step and made it easy to understand. Dr. Obermeyer was great! I had a partial tear of my meniscus in my right knee and in a lot of pain. He did a great job explaining and recommending next steps for me and listening to what I had done already and things I wanted to continue to do. I ended up choosing knee arthroscopy surgery. It went wonderful and I am very happy! Went thru 4 weeks of PT 2x weekly with a follow-up visit to Dr. Obermeyer and one more upcoming. Overall I am very confident in my recovery and excited to continue to do more and get stronger. Thank you Dr. Obermeyer & Team at Barrington Orthopedics!!! Dr Brittney Slipher did such a great job! Dr. Patel is by far one of the best doctors I have ever seen. He has a very kind and considerate bedside manner, and he's always been very approachable. I started seeing Dr. Patel because of extreme pain after a foot surgery done by a different doctor, and Dr. Patel's course of treatment has greatly improved my quality of life. I would not hesitate to recommend him to all of my friends and family. Mo and Jessie are also wonderful to work with. Their funny jokes and kindness really made having my cast put on, and then removed, so much easier. read more

If I could give a negative rating I would , but 1 star is the lowest Dr Merlin basically refused to see my son for a follow up dog bite because our insurance was not sorted out, even thoughI was a prior patient that had 2 knee surgeries done by one of his colleagues . We paid for the office visit ($200) out of pocket & were going to be a self pay until the insurance was squared away. We were asked to go back to the ER & see the initial treating physician. They lost our business & respect . Hopefully no one else has their time wasted like we did. read more

I saw Dr. OHara two years ago for a break and displacement. He put me in a boot after reading the X-ray. Two weeks later, I was still in a lot of pain and he expressed concern that bruising and swelling had increased so he casted it without any additional diagnostics. Two weeks after that, he sent me for an MRI for the break but not for the displacement. Eight weeks after the original incident, he sent me to therapy. I still had pain but it was dissipating so I lived with it. Now, I still have pain in the one spot where the displacement occurred. I really feel like he just goes through the motions without really trying to understand the problem. Very disappointed in Barringto Ortho. read more

I went to see Dr. O'Hara for an ankle injury I sustained a few weeks ago after I went to the ER for x-rays. He sent me home in a boot after the initial consultation. He didn't do more x-rays or order an MRI. He insisted that when I came in next, a week later, he would be able to tell by looking at and feeling my ankle what was wrong thanks to his years of experience. When I returned a week later with borderline no improvement in my condition, in terrible pain with very bad swelling, he barely looked at or touched my ankle. He was unable to figure out what was wrong. He then ordered an MRI. When he submitted the order to my insurance company, he DID NOT include the x-rays taken at the hospital. My insurance then denied the request for the MRI since they believed no x-ray was done. The next step would be for Dr. O'Hara himself to contact the insurance company for a peer to peer review of the request so that their decision could be over-turned and the request approved. The time was set for the review, and Dr. O'Hara straight up did not call in for the review. He just skipped it. And then he went out of town for 11 days. So now, I am stuck in a lot of pain with no MRI for at least two more weeks when it had already been almost 3 weeks since my injury. This is a doctor who does not care at all about his patients. This is not care. This is not how you help people who rely on you for their care. I will never be returning to this office or this doctor after experiencing this level of negligence, apathy and selfishness. If I could give 0 stars, believe me I would. read more

Very nice, clean facility. Dr Tashima is wonderful!!! He is so knowledgeable and explains everything to you as you go, but also for the consult. I was soooo scared to get injections in my back.... But dr t, Kevin, the tech( awesome), and Toni were great!!! read more
