Joseph and his front office staff Rehanah, are simply inept. I do not recommend Joe Tatala for any CPA work. Joe does not follow up, does not keep you informed, does not respond to emails, and simply has a very bad attitude. Joe additionally told us he would do simple tasks and then did not do them: file extensions (not done), file biz license paperwork (he offered to do it, as they required tax info) = not done. When asked why he did not file some simple business paperwork with the city, he responded with, "well it is a lot of work". We paid Joe Tatala by the hour, not the job. Rehanah, the office receptionist, whom I have interacted with at least a dozen times in person, over the 2-3 years; still introduces herself each time with a, "nice to meet you, I'm Rehanah". I get she can't keep track of all the clientele, but me showing up in the office with paperwork stating the paperwork is for Joe, you would think would be a tip off - that I'm an existing client. If you are a small business owner, having a proficient CPA/tax person is a necessity. Trust me, this is NOT where you want to land!! Tatala CPA is the land of no follow up, no acknowledgement, incomplete tax work, timelines expired, and deadlines missed. He will cost you a lot of money in penalties, not to mention the headaches. . .
