This is the best Peruvian market I have found in South Florida. As someone who is Peruvian and…read moredeeply connected to the food, this visit felt both validating and comforting. It was well worth the drive! The selection is outstanding. The market carries authentic pantry staples, seasonings, and frozen ingredients that are difficult to find even at larger international markets. Many of these items are not available anywhere else locally. Everything was well stocked, clearly stored, and fresh (and not about to expire in a month, iykyk), which matters greatly for specialty ingredients. There is also a thoughtful selection of Peruvian merchandise, including jerseys, flags, rosaries, and huayruros. These details reinforce the cultural care behind the space. Another highlight is the freshly prepared Peruvian food on-site. They offer tamales, sandwiches, hot coffee, smoothies, and desserts typically found only at a Peruvian bakery. The flavors were authentic and comforting, and the quality reflected pride in the food being served. The team was warm, knowledgeable, and happy to offer recommendations for cooking, gifting, or trying something new. Overall, I will be bringing visiting friends and family here to restock and reconnect with the food. For anyone seeking authentic Peruvian ingredients and flavors in South Florida, this is a place to know!!!

I saw him about 10 years ago, and last Friday we went to Desafinado, sitting at table #17. The view wasn't great at first because the party in front of us were tall fellas, but a small miracle happened: a couple in the front row traded tables with us, not wanting to be so close! So, the first "obstacle" was solved. The concert took a while to start; we arrived around 10:30 pm, and by midnight, there was still no sign of Amaury. But once it began, it was magical. His music sounded amazing, and the sound quality at Desafinado was impressive. Plus, there were some great surprise guests, like the amazing Luis Enrique and five others (I can't remember all their names, but they were all fantastic). The only downside was that no one ever came by to take our order. Since we'd just come from Fleming's Steakhouse and were super full, it wasn't a huge issue, not enough to cost them a star. The next day, we spent the whole day playing Amaury Gutierrez's music at home! Desafinado is a great place to experience a close, personal, and intimate concert with Latin romantic artists. Good atmosphere, great sound, easy parking, but questionable service.

From the moment we walked in, the owner and staff were welcoming and full of energy. This establishment attracts a certain population of mostly Cubans. The dessert display was beautiful, everything looked so tempting, and the bakery itself was spotless. What really stood out was how happy the staff seemed; at one point, they even came out from behind the counter to dance. While I was there, the owner was live on TikTok, encouraging people to visit, but he still kept an eye on the customers to make sure everyone was being taken care of. I was offered a panetela borracha on the house, and it was amazing. I ordered a ham & cheese empanada and a cortadito--the empanada was delicious, though the cortadito took a little while to arrive. I also grabbed some milk cream nuggets (cremitas de leche) to go, and they tasted just like the ones my grandmother used to make. Overall, the experience was a very positive one, and I'll definitely be returning for more sweets.
