We told the bartender what we'd been through. A lot of money and issues and heartbreaks had been had that previous weekend. My brain was mush and I was very emotional. She could see it all over my face how badly I was going through it in that moment. I even ordered the wrong food at first and my boyfriend caught it in time but I was on the verge of tears the whole day. We ordered Fried Pickles, A Pulled Pork Sandwich with Curlies and a Tri Tip sandwich with Potato salad. The food was flipping amazing. The pickles were crispy and delicious. The sandwiches were great...the Tri Tip was EVERYTHING. It was so good. As we ate, another bartender came on shift and ours was going home for the day. She thanked us for coming in and told me she hoped I had a better day and good luck and went home. The other bartender came on over to check on us and told us that our meal was paid for by the previous bartender and that she "knew we were having a hard time and wanted to take care of it." When I tell you I cried like a baby. It was so sweet, unexpected... KIND. When I tell you that, truly good people do still exist and one of them is at Overtime, I'm not jokin. So dear bartender who took care of us... my gratitude for your kindness that day, makes me emotional just thinking about it. Not only was the food truly amazing...the service was above and beyond. Thank you, from a mom who NEEDS the car I was crying over, THANK YOU. Ps...I got my car fixed after DAYS of blood sweat and tears...and you made it a little easier for me to cope.

The place is an average bar that provides a stage for loud music. Tables to the right, bar to the left stage upfront and restrooms behind that. Fun touches throughout though. A sign above the door that says "tweekers go home", a neon Silver Dollar on the ceiling and bathrooms covered with innocent and "not so innocent" phrases written by drunk patrons all over the walls. (I can't post pics of that - you'll have to see it for yourself.) The drink prices are on point so you won't go broke here and the bartender was a friendly lady. This is a smoking bar so don't partake if smoke bugs you. It gets really loud once the band starts and the patrons fill up the room. We spent about two hours here before we left to go explore more of Elko.

If you aren't familiar with that franchise, remember that it's a NOLA themed sports-bar. They have great Cajun inspired drinks (and frozen daiquiris) and food items, as well as Mardi Gras themed decor (think "lady" photos, beads, boas, masks and more). Service is always speedy and games are always playing on any of the TVs or the large projectors towards the back. Be sure to play a couple of games of pool and some of the arcade games!
