We travelled to Cafe 82 for lunch on Sunday, Entertainment Book voucher at the ready. On the way I…read moreread the previous reviews, we were not disappointed. This is a bit of a gem, looks like it was an ordinary shop in a past life. The feel was fresh, contemporary and a bit beachy without being cliché. The food was amazing! Fresh light, tasty, decidedly Thai, but lighter, fresher with fantastic presentation. Cold rolls superb, crisp pork belly diced with bok Choy, minced chicken Ko pal with green beans.....delish.

Protip: Make a reservation! We hit this place on a Tuesday evening and the entire place was booked…read moreout. Good thing we were in before the rush hour dinner service otherwise we wouldn't have gotten a table, we kept seeing groups after groups being turned away because it was all booked out. We were even given a strict hour to eat and then the host gave us a bill straight away on the table to usher us out. Fair enough. Food was pretty good. There is a wide selection of beers, in particular South East Asian beers which was nice. I got the rice paper wraps for entree which was a refreshing mouthful of coriander, mint, veg and your usual thai ingredients. Don't get it if you're not a fan of coriander as it gets a bit heavy. For mains, I got the chicken salad dish. It was absolutely heaven. There was a generous serving of very tender chicken breast that was beautifully marinated with a lovely thai sauce. If I could order the same dish three times over I would in a heartbeat. Overall, would definitely return, but would book in advance! Protip #2: This place is dog friendly too, there was a cute pup lounging outside with a bowl of water while its owners dined inside.

This could be slightly offensive but im gonna say it any way…read more You dont have to be Indian to be a curry muncher. Take me for example. I frequent this restaurant on a weekly basis just so I can get my fix of the Sala Thai Massaman Beef Curry. There are a million things that look good on the menu that I haven't got around to trying yet because I just cant get past the Massaman curry. It could be intervention time, I've gotta branch out people. I also go for the service, The lady who makes the magic happen has hospitality running through her veins; she always makes dining in an absolute pleasure with her super friendly demeanor. But what is also great is I can get takeaway so I can indulge my Massaman fetish away from the worlds prying eyes. You can find Sala Thai just off the main street in Stirling in the Adelaide hills. it doesn't accommodate hoards of people though so book ahead because its quite popular. Another plus is they will split the bill for you if you ask, love that. Oh and one last thing...Massaman Beef Curry.

Definitely the best yellow curry I have tried. Also, they are creative with their dishes and don't just throw the same veggies in every dish. They also do some great special dishes such as the yellow barramundi curry and red duck or basil duck. The owners are always very friendly and accommodating and will stop to have a chat with you. We have dined in and had take away on many occasions and can highly recommend both.
