Yesterday I went to lunch at a new Thai Restaurant. Barossa Siam. Being a city boy I didn't expect a Barossa Valley Thai restaurant in Angaston to produce any where near the standard of Thai food I've had at some restaurants in Adelaide. In fact I didn't expect much at all. Well how wrong was I. A beautifully presented restaurant with linen tablecloths and a lovely outdoor dining area. The menu was not large but offered all the Thai favourites. Fresh and fragrant the food was delicious. I really liked the fact that the chicken satays were not drowned in sauce but had the sauce in a dish on the side. Service was efficient and unobtrusive and the staff dealt extremely well with a large table of people that couldn't make up their minds on what to eat and drink. The only downside was it was quite expensive for a Thai restaurant. Well done Barossa Siam. I will be back. read more
