While most of Europe is pretty cheap to go out for a drink, Switzerland is pretty comparable with North America for the price of a beer. They had awesome local Biel beer on tap. When I tried to order in very poor German, the girl was accommodating in switching to English, but I have to admit I did want to practice my German ;). The place has a cool vibe, the art on the wall talks about no wifi, talk. Funky and cool sayings in different languages -- Biel is French and (Swiss) German after all. Awesome place.

Drinks were a bit pricey, but tasted great. Watch out for the pin ball- this I must say (the left paddle doesn't work every time, OK). Pretty generic, "American" menu but everything we had was great and came out quick. We hiked 12 miles and this was a great place for a nice beer and some basic pasta varieties. This is a perfect place for a family and dogs are allowed everywhere inside the restaurant. The owner, I believe speaks Spanish and English and not Swiss German but she was wonderful and ran the restaurant alone when it was completely full. You order at the counter and it is basically a self service spot but it was a nice little spot tucked away in the small downtown.
