Kudos to Steve Martinez Repair My plight: Travelling/hauling…read morea 6x12 U-Hall trailer on Ohio I80-90 from Glen Ellyn, Il. to Harrisburg, Pa. on Sat. Aug. 24th, my rear differential 'broke down'. State Police provided a towing service to get me off the highway to nearest motel. I determined I was about 7 mi. from Wasseon, Oh. -knowing no one. Using cell phone internet, I determined options for "Help" were a Don's GMC Dealership, Dells Trans and Steve Martinez. I left voice messages for each and even sent email directly to the Service Manager on Don's GMC website. To date, ONLY Steve Martinez responded. That was on Monday at 8 a.m. Steve, without any pressure tactic and correctly diagnosing sight unseen- offered to inspect my car "immediately" and determine the problem and he would either proceed or not at my direction. I.E. = He would help immediately. All wheel drive, but problem was the rear differential lacked gear lube and gears overheated and shattered. We agreed most economical solution was to replace the 'rear end: Steve searched, located a used 'rear-end assembly' and was done Tue. night. I headed on to Pa. on Wed. morning - alas, after 165 mi. this rear end unit also failed (despite Steve's thoroughly checking all appropriate seals and fluid levels). Stay with me: I was able to locate a U-Haul to get a 10' truck to haul the trailer and get to Pa. The Unbelievable end to the saga: Steve drove 165 mi.-retrieved my car, R & R the Rear End again and refused any further payment. UNBELIEVABLE INTEGRITY IN TODAYS WORLD. I'm thanking my God for Steve's compassion to my plight and character. I wish Steve's business was in my hometown-He'd have my never ending business. Let's start with...If I could give zero stars, I would…read more Considering we never heard a word back and never got the repair. For over two months now. One $56 sensor needs replaced. Given that the transmission requires several hours of work, we were willing to give this company over $700.00 to do it, since there aren't many places around willing to work with modern transmissions anymore. Wauseon is almost an hour from our house. We took it there for a diagnostic. Usually the diagnostic is included, however, since this repair would take several hours of shop time, we paid over $90.00 for it. They stated that they're very busy, and wouldn't be able to fit us in for that much shop time for about three weeks, however, wouldn't even schedule anything in the books for it. Wouldn't you want that guaranteed business/money? The shop time mechanic pay is going to be those same hours as for other jobs, no? After a month of not hearing a word, we called back to check in on the timeframe/scheduling. The gentleman who spoke to my husband stated that they still didn't know when they could fit it in, and they'd call him. A month and a half later, my husband calls to ask again, and they state that they "don't know" when they can fit it in, act ANNOYED with my husband for even calling to ask, and still won't even schedule it. Well...rude. But, ok. Unfortunately, this means we are going to have to search for another mechanic all over again, and are out almost $100.00 for a useless diagnostic. Thanks, Delle! :)

Charged us 600$ and gave the car back to her, one week later the timing chain broke and ruined my Engine. i dont know if they are sexist and the mechanic just felt like he knew better than she did or if he was just plain incompetent. My neighbor was involved in an auto accident and told her car. CDH towing towing told her vehicle…read morewhich is a 2003 Ford escort to Don's Chevy Buick GMC and Hummer dealership, wauseon, oh. My neighbor has multiple fractures throughout her body and will be laid up in a rehab for 2 months. My neighbor asked me to retrieve her keys and personal items out of her vehicle at the auto body shop. Before I went down to the auto body shop which is CDH towing I called and spoke to the manager and told her I was coming down to get my neighbor's keys which consisted of her apartment keys her mailbox key and her storage key. The manager of CDH towing told me I would have to get permission from the insurance company. I tried to explain to her that it's only liability therefore there's no insurance company to go through. So she asked my neighbor to call them to verify that I was coming down there. I arrived at CDH towing the next day only to be told by the manager that I was not allowed to get the keys and the personal belongings until the bills were paid in full. I explained to the manager that she cannot hold the personal items as hostage in order to get her bill paid. I asked her for an itemized bill which consisted of $250 towing charge $71.50 for mileage $90 for special equipment $10 for fuel. This was for 13 miles. The total came to $1, 352.23. the manager also explained that my neighbor is being charged $60 a day for storage. The manager also told me that she changed her mind she's not giving me the keys and that she wants the owner to come down with her license in person. I explained again to the manager that the neighbor will be laid up for at least two months with multiple fractures. She refused to hand over the apartment keys. I explained to the manager that Ohio has a rule that she has to release the personal items. She still refused. I then went into the dealership and spoke to the owner Don Hayari the circumstances. He also refused and explained to me that that is their policy. According to Ohio rule of administration code 4901:2-24-03, if I wasn't getting anywhere with the company I had to get the police involved. I followed up immediately with the local police department. The nice officer went down to the dealership to ask for the keys and they still refused. Needless to say I left with no keys. My question is why would there be an Ohio rule in place such as 4901:2-23-03 for Fees for towing and storage if the businesses such as CDH towing/Don's automotive group body shop/Don's Chevy Buick GMC and Hummer not going to be enforced. This is only a company policy. The law states different. Rule 4901 also states that if the vehicle is under $10,000 they can only charge $17 a day storage we're in this case the automotive company is charging her $60 a day. According to rule 4901 the tow should be $129 when in fact they're charging her $250 plus extra. CDH towing/Don's automotive group body shop/Don's Chevy Buick GMC & Hummer is in violation of Ohio's Administrative Code 4901:2-24-03, sections 4513.60 and 4513.601. I would like to see the state of Ohio apply sanctions to these companies for failing to abide by Ohio Administration Code 4901:2-24-03, sections 4513.60 and 4513.601. I also would like her personal property released to me as soon as possible. Already told him they can keep the key to the car, which they would have anyways. There needs to be a president set using these two companies as an example of what not to do.​​​​​​​​
