Very happy with my new storm door and gate! Service was wonderful from start to finish. Don came to take measurements and he was very kind and helpful. Received a quote within a day or two and hired them about a week after. The office staff explained the entire process so I wasn't worried about being forgotten about or how long it was going to be until we had our gate installed. Everything was right on schedule. The office has sample gates to look at but I chose a design off their website. Don has color samples he gives you when you do the estimate so you can determine which colors you want to go with. The installers were very polite and friendly and did a great job installing everything and cleaned up at the end, hauling away our old gate. I love having my storm door and leaving the door open to let the sunlight in and now I don't have to worry about it or my gate blowing open from the wind! read more

In a word, perfect! The owner came out personally and measured our installation; it was a patio double door. He presented photo album of their standard doors that was extensive with many attractive options. We settled on one, and gave him a deposit. They custom build all of their doors to my knowledge and we needed a custom installation. He was very careful to match the color of the door with the existing framework. Installation was done according as promised and the result is wonderful. We live in a rural setting and we wanted an attractive but secure door for the back of our house. The price was actually competitive with generic doors from big box stores when you consider the custom fit and install. It has been over a year now, and the door operates flawlessly. read more

I'd had a previous horrible experience with another business trying to have this gate replaced, so I was extremely hesitant to deal with another company. I explained my situation to Liz, and she assured me they would communicate with me and deliver as promised. They did. Don came out to take measurements and provide the estimate. It was a tad more than I wanted to pay, but the results speak for themselves. Liz communicated with me throughout the process, and they arrived on the scheduled day at the scheduled time to install my new gate. No damage to the gate, house, or wall. It's absolutely gorgeous. I'm so grateful to them for being so understanding and professional. read more

I cannot recommend Barnett Aldon high enough. I worked with Don on the design and he made the process smooth and easy. The installation guys were gems. Turns out that the beautiful gate they installed was not exactly as I thought I had ordered and when the installation men called the owner - he was incredibly customer oriented and apologized, wanting to make it right and me - happy. My friends comment that they wished they had used Barnett Aldon Ironworks instead of who they used. Comments range from "beautiful" to "no one could cut through that deadbolt!" If you need someone to help with a design and truly care about your satisfaction, this is the place to go. read more

I have purchased Doors from Barnett on previous house and moved to another home and wanted to add security doors. Though I would get a quote from another security door with coupon offers. The doors were installed and the quality is not what I received from Barnett. I continue to have paint chipping off and doors sticking. I went back to Barnett and have them build me another security door for my front door. Door turned out amazing and would tell anyone they might be a difference in price from someone else however that the quality difference is well worth the extra expense. I would tell anyone to don't go cheaper go Barnett- Quality !!!! read more

The team at Barnett Aldon crafted a custom interior handrail for our home. Top notch service from start to finish! Kyle had excellent guidance on the design and was hands down the most professional contractor we've worked with since moving to ABQ five years ago. The office (especially Cassie) was professional and prompt with communication. Mike and Kyle did the installation. They communicated with us throughout, demonstrated impeccable attention to detail, and were clean clean clean. The final product exceeded our expectations. Don't spend time shopping around! I'm confident that this team can't be beat. read more

Barnett Aldon fabricated a custom screen security door for our front entrance and also three iron inserts for the stucco wall of our sun deck. All pieces are well made and fit like a glove. Joe, the installer, was efficient and answered all my questions as the installation progressed. He even took the time to tighten a couple of loose decking screws that he had noticed while installing the ironwork. Time lapse from the date the estimator came out to measure and take the order until installation was 6 weeks. The excellent quality of the product certainly worth the wait. I highly recommend the company. read more

With crime on the rise in Albuquerque, I needed to totally secure my home. I researched companies to install security doors and window bars. Barnett Aldon Ironworks stood out above the others. This was not the type of job I was going to trust to some handyman. Don Best came over and did a complete assessment of my home, and then we discussed what I wanted. I was impressed with the professionalism, and quality. A few weeks later they did the job for me, and I love the way it looks, at a good price, not to mention the added security. read more

Some years ago we needed to replace a front gate and could not find anyone with an appropriate idea until we contacted Barnett Aldon. They quickly figured out what we liked and wanted and we added railing on two sets of steps. Their ideas were unique, artistic and brilliant. Manufacture and instillation were perfect. We get complements constantly. Recently the latch came loose and I called for advice. The next day he was here and did an instant repair which now I can do myself. We have been delighted beyond compare. read more

We're very happy with our new security door! From start to finish it took 5 weeks. The employees are all friendly and knowledgeable. I was able to get an estimate of 3 different designs quickly. Installation was an hour and a half, and Joe made sure it was done right. He explained the features of our door and was great to work with. The door itself is secure and sealed from loud noise and weather. We can't wait to use this year round, swapping out the glass and screen as needed. I'd recommend this company to anyone! read more

From the time we met with Don Best the owner of Barnett Aldon thru the installation of our wrought iron Gate, the experience was pleasurable. We worked closely with Don and his design staff and they designed exactly to our specifications. On the specified date the installers were right on time, courteous, and friendly. They did a beautiful installation. We have recommended this company to our customers and clients - Kurstin Johnson, Owner/Broker, Vista Encantada Realtors read more

In the mid-90's we got security/storm doors (front and back) from Barnett Aldon and love them. So we just replaced our feeble wood yard gate with a gate from Barnett Aldon. It too we love. Getting the estimate handed to me on the first site visit and then delivering as promised are big plusses. Cost was reasonable considering quality of the product and the quality of the service. It was installed per the agreed schedule and everything works great. read more

Your service department was awesome! First of all they came a half hour early, It took him less than 10 minutes to determine the issue with our security window (would not open, the push button was not working) and took him only 5 minutes to do the actual fix to the issue, at....wait for it.......NO CHARGE!!! I would recommend this company to anyone that wants quality work and impeccable and reliable service. Mark and Sharon Provencher read more

I expected a representative @ 12:00pm today 1/13/2022. No one called to confirm, no one showed up. I called and left 2 voice mails. No response. I went on their web site and submitted a message. Finally someone who could care less called and stated that my appointment was for the 20th. No apology or concern regarding the error. I expecting a call from the owner, we'll see. The customer service is poor at best. read more

This was our second time to work with Barnett Aldon Ironworks. We ordered a large private custom gate with decorative trim. They delivered exactly what we ordered. The design, detail and installation were excellent and it is clear that their ethos for customers is to get it right the first time, every time and for every customer. A special Thank You to Don and the professionals he has hired. read more

From the initial estimate to the installation, the crew at Barnett Aldon turned in a stellar performance. They're knowledgeable, friendly, and super professional. Plus, and importantly, the doors look really nice, and the house is more secure. Shout out to Joe and Mike, the skilled and hard-working installers who kindly kept me updated throughout the job. It's a great company, believe me. read more

We ordered security screen doors for our front, side, and back doors in three different designs and are very happy with the results. Service from everyone we dealt with was wonderful, and the doors are beautiful and very well-made. We will have referred friends to this company and will definitely go back to them in the future when we are ready to replace our gate. read more

I had a great experience with the company. Joe and Mike did the installation, they were courteous, competent and very professional. The windows and doors look super and the security that they provide is very reassuring. The doors let in so much light, yet no cold air! It's no wonder that this company has been around for a number of years. read more
