Dr Brewer is one of the best Optometrists i seen in a while! My husband had a bad reaction to something and his retinas became inflamed and his vision was severely compromised. Dr Brewer took the time to figure it out, and even asked my husband to call him if it didn't settle down before his next appt in three days. The blood tests showed a genetic marker for inflation. We have been to his office for follow up 5 - 6 times and the problem is going away! His vision was 20/100 , now it is back to 20/40. This office and staff deserves 5 stars probably from everyone! Dr Brewer even wanted other docs looking at this. The Opthomologist said Dr Brewer had this under control. The office was a bit hard to find but it is on the Show Low side of Annie's Bistro! I filled out my forms online (3 times because twice there was "an unexpected error, so try again later.") This was supposed speed up the check in process. Nope! I walked into the office and went up to the counter. 4 people behind the counter, none of whom said hello or acknowledged my presence. There was a tablet on a post which is the only way to check in. I began the process but the first 4 things it asked me for were exactly what I filled out on line to save time. Then, I was required to list my gender identity and my pronouns. This is for an appointment with an eye doctor! I needed eye glasses! I went up to the counter and said I would like to check in with a human. 4 people behind the counter, but none could check me in. Dr. Brewer is awesome. A couple days ago I got a bunch of saw dust in my left eye while sawing down a wall in our home renovation (my bad for skipping the eye protection that day.) I tried to flush my eye out in the shower & with visine with no luck, my eye was burning like crazy. My wife (that's a Trauma ICU nurse) told me to go to Summit Urgent Care in Snowflake to get it looked at so I went. They were really nice & put a dye in my eye, looked around & noticed that I had a gnarly corneal abrasion. They put in some antibiotic goop in my eye & gave me a make shift pirate patch & sent me on my way saying that I should be feeling better in 24 hours (it was 5pm) by 6:45pm the pain relief eye drops they put in completely wore off & I was in pain till about 7am (when I finally fell asleep from being up all night) By 11am when I woke up the pain was unbearable, at this point I couldn't even open my right eye (my good one) without causing pain to my left eye. I called the Urgent Care in Snowflake & they referred me to Summit Urgent Care in Show Low, I called them & said they couldn't help but referred me to these guys. I called these guys & they were able to fit me in the same day. Upon arrival everyone was super nice & got me checked in quick. I got to see Dr. Brewer & he verified that I did have a rather large corneal abrasion that was healing but upon looking further he flipped my eyelids inside out & pulled out a 2mm wood sliver that was lodged in my eyelid & was causing pain every time I blinked. He also pulled out an eyelash that was stuck in my eyelid as well. He explained everything thoroughly & put a special contact on my eye to help protect my cornea & help with it's healing process plus help with pain relief. He also called me in a prescription for steroid eye drops. After leaving the office I was pain free which was a huge relief. He had me come back in today (2 days later) to remove the contact & check on the healing process (which was coming along great.) I just scheduled my next annual eye exam with him & have told all my family about how professional & nice Dr. Brewer & everyone in this office are, my wife is going to schedule an appt for them next week for her annual. So glad I found these guys, thanks again Dr. Brewer for getting me out of pain read more

Dr. Brewer always does a great job with my kids. His friendly demeanor puts them at ease. We've been going to him for 3 years and plan to continue to use him as our family's eye doctor in the future. He also carefully and patiently removed glass from my eyes following a car accident, a couple years ago. The cash cost for the exams and services has been a good price each time. read more

This is by far the WORST eye doctor's office I have ever been to. I went in for contacts in JANUARY. I was told I was being ordered two trial pairs. I was also told I might have glaucoma and to schedule an exam. Never got a call back about my trials. Had to bug them to get them. It is now JULY and I haven't got any contacts. They basically took my money and never tried to do what they say. Don't expect them to call you in a prescription either. It's too much too remember. Don't ever go here if you actually need to see! read more

Well this is the second time I have been to this office.... I won't be back. I finally got my prescription. I've been wearing the same contacts for 6 weeks because you can NEVER talk to anyone. It is always messages....then they call back with a 602 phone number....I LIVE IN A 928 area!!!!! I went to pick up my contacts when they FINALLY came in.... I was text at 2:21 that they were in. Told to check their hours of operation....website says 8a-5p Mon-Fri. I take 1/2 he off to ensure I make their closing time to find they close at noon on Wednesday. Their website still says they are open. Today I take an early lunch to get what I have paid for.... I am told I will have to wait because there are people in front of me.... I say I am on my lunch and just need someone to hand me the contacts. After 15 mins they are finally found and brought out to me. I will now be going to the Valley for eye care!!! read more
