Never returned to finish our job after a week. 3 weeks now since starting. So many things to say about him. Told me off when I told him I was getting sick with asthma attacks due to not having our a/c because we disconnected and moved the unit for the concrete to be poured and he assured us twice it would only be for 2 days, he said "he didn't care that I was getting sick and I wasn't his customer, he was a contractor that went by his schedule and not mine". Flat out Lied about his pouring schedule just to get our deposit check apparently. Lied about concrete not being able to be delivered when actually everything was working fine at concrete supplier, I called and confirmed. Basically got my check for the 50% down and went about his merry way. Showing up 2 hours a day to diddle. Damaged our siding but "forgot" to tell me five minutes after doing so. 2 WEEKS after the start date, they poured our patio and its a complete mess. Left forms on steps, hand prints in the concrete, steps not stamped as directed on contract, concrete coloring not done as requested and we were left a full bucket of third color that should have been applied to our patio when the concrete was still wet. Then abandoned our job. Says he got covid but yet felt good enough to pick up rented front loader the day after second half was poured. His dad took the forms off the driveway which was the next area to be poured and told me they needed to keep the "wood straight". They packed up anything worth value. Left me a pile of worthless 2x4's In good faith that "they would be back". Whatever dude, I saw right through you. I Asked if he'd be back, his response "yeah, just don't know when." Interesting considering you're in the middle of our job. Current form of covid is cold symptoms if you get it. Texted me a week ago saying his "covid test was positive and he'd be in touch. Sorry for inconvenience". Not a word from him since. His suppliers are telling me he's working and is just fine.
Thanks for doing a great job on our patio.. NOT. If you can't handle being called out for lying to your "customer" that you said We weren't (didn't know people just handed over huge checks to contractors without being a "customer") then maybe you should stop lying. And if you can't handle being yelled at because of letting concrete drivers dump their excess concrete down the center of our gravel driveway, four times, and in the drain that deposits into our pond, then I don't know what to tell you. A simple request was made, take it to the end of the driveway. Pretty sure you wouldn't want it dumped in the back of your pickup for example. Your true character is shining through but hey if this is your work ethic, I'll be happy to tell others about it. Thanks again for leaving us this mess. read more
