I went into the bathroom and tried to take a shit. I suddenly heard moaning and skin rubbing... I ran out of there ASAP and as I turned around I saw that they were hunched over the baby changing table doing something. There stall door was open. My FAVORITTTTEEE PLACE ON EARTHHH ahhhhhh life hack here people listen up so they have a cafe/starbucks in the back that sells ACTUAL food im talking preztels, pizza, chicken tenders, soups, sandwichs like legit food is happening. AND drum roll plsssss actual cheesecake from the CHEESECAKE FACTORY not super big slices but thats for the best lol. Zero customer service. They only have employees at the register. I was ignored completely by one older employee, even saying "hello?" Nothing. So I went to the front and they were busy. This is the reason I hate going to this place, so instead of buying your $30 book I'll go to a local store where they are AMAZING at customer service, always helpful- complete opposite of this place. Really great place for books, the environment is amazing as well as the staff. The only issue is the sand paper they are trying to play off as toilet paper. Not only is it disrespectful to the trees that got destroyed for it but I'm going to have to apply lotion for weeks after this excursion. read more

nice place to study by the windows, the starbucks cafe can be nice too but sometimes is loud. There are also a ton of nice armchairs to read books in. Never really tried to buy a book but I was looking at the Nook on the way out. Kind of neat, never looked at e-readers before and it was cool that they had a bunch out. A lady even came up to help me, and I thought that was cool cuz I didn't know anything about e-readers. She told me that even if she didn't work at B&N she'd get the Nook because it is the best e-reader. When I asked her why it was the best and what kind of features it has that other e-readers don't she didn't even name one thing. It was almost as if I asked her some really difficult question and she just stopped for a second til she started playing with the Nook in front of me and said that "it's just...better, just look at it". rofl. anyway, this place is awesome just for the table by the window. theres also lots of restrooms, which is nice, except theres no exiting mirror (you know, like the mirror right by the exit of the restroom that you can use to check yourself out like one last time before you leave). what kind of a bathroom doesn't have an exiting mirror?? read more

Another semi disappointing bookstore. But I give it some props for its sheer size and exterior look. For the most part, this place had a lot better selection but they had no chairs to sit except in the coffee shop. Another surprise was seeing regular DVDs being sold for $28. Really?! Not a Bluray but a DVD. And when there is a Best Buy directly across the street? Baffling. read more

If you want genuine and attentive customer service, go to Watermark. To be fair, my negative rating is based on a recent experience and the clerk at the customer service counter by magazines. However, I've never had less than exemplary service at Watermark. They're courteous, attentive, and do all they can to meet my needs. Although much smaller than Barnes and Noble, they carry clever and interesting gifts, office items, cards, shirts, journals, etc. Their cafe offers delicous pastries and desserts, soups, salads, and drinks. read more

I once loved this bookstore and was a member of their club up until last year when I went to renew my membership. I didn't have the card on me when the lady behind the counter said my membership had expired but said she could still renew it. Okay. Paid the twenty-five bucks good to go, right? Nope. A few weeks later I go back in, go to buy a book, oh my membership has expired. Excuse me? No, I paid for that a few weeks back. But it shows on your account it hasn't been renewed, did you keep your receipt? No, why would I have never returned a book in my life. Managers are called, computers are searched, or so they told me. In the end, I was given a number to a hotline I could call so they could tell me the same shit. It's sad; this truly saddens me. read more

I went there this evening to look at books in their "Local Interest" section and found it sorely lacking. I look at that section whenever I visit B&N stores and this was the most paltry one I've ever seen. However, the card selection at this store is very good. I love wandering through here and took a long time deciding what I wanted. In the end, I found out that the two books I wanted were a lot cheaper on Barnes and Noble's website, so I asked at the register if they would match it. She said no. Who doesn't price match to their own website? (She said I would pay the difference in shipping, but shipping was free). I put the books back and found the ones I wanted on Amazon for even cheaper. read more

I love coming to this bookstore, they have an excellent stock and variety of subjects. However their customer service side leaves a lot to be desired. They will help you find your books or whatever you are looking for, but this comes at the expense of people trying to pay for their selections. I waited in line today for almost 15 minutes before I put my magazines back and walked out. I was number 3 in line for more than 5 minutes while the cashiers are trying to entice every customer to join their clubs, Blah, Blah, Blah. Out of 4 cashiers 2 of them left for some reason, still with a line waiting to checkout halfway across the store. I will not enter this store any longer. read more

Haven't been to a B&N for so long. It was nice to come back to the store. Still has the same great items in every section. Except the harlequin romance section wad sorely lacking for books. The prices for coffee (a small is 1.85) are sill very outrageous! So again didn't buy one, and that just for a black reg. Coffee. Come on guys! Was loud as usual. read more

While I love this bookstore. I wish that they would be a tad more friendly to the student/campers. We love to sit and my husband will grade. But the lack of seating outside of the cafe is disheartening. We always purchase food and drinks while there and the baked goods are yummy. read more

Went in because I had an email giving me 15% off my entire order! Also had just gotten in the mail coupons that's specifically said save an EXTRA 20% off one item. Little did I know that wasn't true. Of course it was after I had rung up my items. They did give me a refund but came home and tried to use my 15% on line. Nope. No good anymore. Tried to use just the 20% off 1 item. Nope. No good anymore. So they cost me 2 coupons that should have been worth $20 my order. Gave them a call and was told that they couldn't help me. Sorry. read more

I have been to Barnes and Nobles many times and usually have an exceptional experience. However today I came for a coffee and study session at the café and received terrible customer service. The café was slow and I waited 15 minutes for my frappe. After the 15 minute point I went up to the bar, and inquired about my coffee, the employee (Wade I believe) working rudely said that it had been sitting at the bar waiting for me the whole time. My frappe was completely melted, he never called my name to let me know it was finished, and then didn't offer to make another one despite how slow the café was at the time.
