I came here for the first time on RSD 2019 and thought "Why did it take me so long to try this…read moreplace out?" I loved it as soon as I walked inside. It's huge inside, tons and tons of used vinyl. A small but mighty selection of new records too. I would love to come back with more time on my hands to go through the crates of jazz and classical. Their RSD selection was healthy too. There was a basement with this year's and last year's selections. When I checked out the staff was super friendly and seemed to enjoy their jobs. Looking forward to coming back.

Didn't know this place existed!…read more Stopped in on a lark and bought three LPs right off the bat. This place is a dream. It's look and feel harken back to the old days of being able to wander into a record store shop around and flip through several hundred LPs check- out the latest stuff in from both the new and the latest used music. Then you can wander over to the other part of the store and look at the classic toys you grew up with and reminics about how much your Heman collection would be worth. Then snag a Voltron figure for your office shelves! I guess this shows how nerdy I actually am... but I know I will see many of you at this store!

They had an extensive collection of records. I'm not really sure about the pricing of records but when I told someone who is familiar with pricing, they said that that's about what they go for. They also had a small book store section with new and used books. I ended up buying a fictional book and it was four dollars for a used book. We actually did recommend this store to people that we know who collect albums and they were happy that we did!

Some are new, some are used. Place is packed with records from one end to the other and you have to navigate in/around the people there which is how it was done in the old days. I remember finding 'The Information Society' in downtown Lawrence as a teen, was funny to me in that I was picking up They Might Be Giants first release, and the Big Science release from Laurie Anderson. Things I did in the late 1980s once before. I hate feeling like some old person saying 'back in my day' but there is a sense of contentment to flip through a huge selection of sounds, seeing things and deciding if based just on the cover if it's worth spending your hard earned money on. Something playing over head selected by someone who works there, finding something new, it was a shared experience that I think we miss now with everything algorithmic and solo. The only downside being that it's hard to balance a solid selection in a physical location, I'm sure compared to 'online' but there's nothing quite like flipping through records and finding something you were looking for. Solid pricing for a retail location in downtown, you're not going to buy 11 records for a penny like Columbia house but you won't be disappointed with the selection and the hunt.

Terrible TV shows? Again, YES! The inventory is organized intuitively and is both easy to navigate and constantly growing. Be sure to ask them about the HALLMARK MOVIE that filmed across the street from them. Oh, and ignore the 1-star review from the guy named Gordon. He's a literal Old Crank who elects to try to sabotage the businesses of people he doesn't care for. Read the review and you'll see he's never been in the place. Lame.

The owner is an active part of the gem/rock community and is constantly finding new and unique pieces. Prices are affordable and you are sure to find something to bring home. From big AWE inspiring pieces to small, pocket sized pieces, there is something for everyone. Now, I haven't looked through the records portion, but there look to be several options there as well. We drive up from South KC quite a bit and will keep coming!
