My husband and I started going to Bernard chiropractor the first part of October and we went a few times a week for the entire month I had very bad neck pain couldn't turn my head my husband has sciatica that bothers him a lot and after 30 days we are now on a once a month maintenance program. Both Dr. Bernard and Dr. Travis are awesome they explain everything they are doing why they do it and what it will feel like, they are great!! I highly recommend them to anyone who wants to get their body back into shape. If I could, I would give a ZERO rating! I called to schedule a new patient appointment and was advised when I come to that appointment the office staff will be able to more accurately tell me my co-pay with my Humana Medicare Advantage plan would be. I arrived today only to be told " because you have Humana, and Humana still has not approved the doctor with your in their plans, and in fact "we were just denied again", so you will have to pay cash until we are accepted! They knew I had Humana, they wasted my time, and guess what? It's been going on for over 2 years. Where is the respect they want from their patients, but I get no respect when they knew there is an ongoing issue with Humana? Extremely poor customer service and awareness! read more

I don't like leaving negative reviews, but I feel I should. Two visits and I don't plan on going back, which is too bad because Dr. Travis is pretty cool. That front desk receptionist is awful. She doesn't even TRY to be kind or considerate. Don't ask her any questions, unless you want to hear things like "I don't know" or "That's not my job," and then she doesn't even try to find answers for you (gee, don't knock yourself out trying to get an answer for me...I wouldn't want to make you "do your job" or anything like that!). Anyway, that's pretty lazy and pathetic and it shows. It might be a good idea for her to get training on public relations (or get a non-public contact job). And then they charged me for the massage table (I didn't know there was going to be an added charge for that, and I don't need it, anyway--my massage chair at home does just as well). "Thanks" for telling me AFTER the fact that there is an added charge for that. And when I called there to ask the chiropractor a question, she said she would leave him a message (for some reason, I never heard back from the chiropractor---somebody dropped the ball. That is "inefficient" at best and "careless" at worst). So when they called ME to leave a message that I missed an appointment, I didn't bother to call back, since that is the same kind of treatment I got from them. These things DO matter and businesses here should take note of that. Customers "vote with their feet" (walk out the door). I wish them well, of course, but this was my experience there, so I pass it along. If they fix these issues, I will re-consider going back and upgrade my review. read more

Dr Travis is amazing. I am a very difficult patient lol. He is always very understanding and gentle with his adjustments. He is the first Chiropractor that I let crack my neck. The Best of Bullhead City! Dr. Barnard and Dr. Travis are simply the best. They are quick to respond to your chiropractic needs. I've been going off and on for a couple of years now for occasional sciatica pain. I will hobble in barely able to walk, Dr Travis will do the adjustments, get a little physical therapy and I'm able to walk out the door. They are fairly priced if you prepay and accept a variety of insurance. If you've got joint pain, try chiropractic before taking a bunch of drugs and/or surgery. This isn't even for the actual chiropractor work because I couldn't even get in there. The lady at the front desk was rude and to busy with all the paying customers. We had to ask for new patient paperwork, never payed attention to give it to us.. Only question I got was if I had an appointment. I filled out all the paperwork, about half an hour, came in early. Turned it in, they asked for my dl. Never ins card but info was on paper so I didn't think much of it. My husband contacted the receptionist in regards to the insurance since I was on his(they never tried to contact us for anything ins wise). Then Ms rude told my husband will a major attitude, "we don't take Aetna" and the cost would be $55 for the visit and $85 for the x rays. As Ms rude was telling my husband this, they are calling me in. I verified with my husband what I had heard. After it being confirmed I told them I'm not paying that, and I walked out the door. I told them I will go see Dr Hayes tomorrow for $20. If don't understand why they don't take state, they don't take Aetna...what do they take??? I heard others with co-pays so they must take something. I saw alot of people that probably qualify for Medicare so maybe Medicare??? Don't know. Of course no i fo or gelp from ms rude. She acted literally like we didnt exist the entire time. We had to contact her for everything. Won't ever be going there again. They aren't the only chiropractors in town. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Bernard's for 14 years. I've suffered from lower back problems for many years. There have been times I have not been able to stand up straight without severe pain. Dr. Bernard always gets me back on track. I try to see him once a month for a routine adjustment to stay in alignment. Do to Covid, I neglected my chiropractic care. The pain continued to get worse. It affected my neck, sciatic nerve, knees, foot & leg muscles. I was in Ca. for 5 months caring for my Mom that had a fall. My condition got worse. Pain was a way of life. I saw a Ca. Chiropractor that exacerbated my condition. I went to another Chiropractor that had treated me before & I was back on the road to recovery. Returning to Bullhead & busy catching up on things, I did not have treatment. I made an appointment with Dr . Bernard. I have had my first 2 treatments & am feeling pain relief. I am very disappointed with mr. Bernard's staff and code of ethics on dealing with PPO in network providers because instead of charging me my co-payment which was $25. Tracy there finance manager saw a money sign on me and tried to stiff me with $65 flat fee and she told me that they weren't even going to run my insurance.
