I was shocked when he started to manipulate my back without any preparation. I left the appointment very much in pain. I went to another chiropractor and basically he did the same thing! I went to the second chiropractor twice and got very little relief. I'm under the care of a pain management doctor and the meds he gave me for my other back problems didn't assuage the pain between my shoulder blades. So on the recommendation from a friend, I went to her chiropractor, Dr BUTH. I told him my problem and my disappointments with the two doctors I had gone to. Dr BUTH treatment was much different! After checking carefully he finally determined the terrible pain I was experiencing was due to a rib was out of place. Then he went to work. No typical "bone cracking" manipulation. After he finished the pain was gone and the relief was immediate! Of course I was still quite sore because I had been out of adjustment for so long. After 2 hour nap my back was 90% better. I highly recommend you see Dr BUTH for your chiropractic needs. I believe the reason why he's so successful is because he listens!

The lucky ones will go into their post op, at home, and be prepared with their own meds and trash the prescriptions given to you. Prepare your own med locker if you want to avoid contemplating suicide to end enormous pain. Why real narcotics are withheld or stolen is queer. You need at least morphine, demerol, fentanyl, stool softener/laxative, baby aspirin, benadryl. Forget the oxycodone. Useless for real pain. If you can not get a real narcotic before surgery, do not have it done. Do not be afraid to get a real nurse practitioner to prescribe the right narcotics for you. Bribery if needed.
