We believe good architecture is the product of superior design; the ability to interpret the client's needs; comprehend the client's budget & time parameters; and orchestrate the complex journey from the inception of good ideas, to the evolution of strong design concepts, to the completion of sound construction. The firm employs designers and consultants experienced in Design & Engineering allowing us to offer a complete design package. Quality architecture includes a well defined connection to the unique location and surrounding context, and a conscious manifestation of the internal character and function within the exterior appearance.

Meet the Business Owner: L Scott B.

Mr. Barnard graduated from Auburn University in 1979 with degrees in Architecture, Environmental Design, and Building Science. He was first registered to practice architecture in the state of Georgia in 1982, and founded Barnard Architects in that same year. As the principal architect, Mr. Barnard is in responsible charge of design, overall business development, administration and personnel. He reviews and coordinates all contract documents prior to release for construction, and maintains a close association with all design projects. A member of the American Institute of Architects, he has served as a member of the Executive Board of the local chapter. He has served as Chairman of the Housing Committee for LIFE Inc., a non-profit organization for the physically handicapped; on the Facilities Committee for the Coastal Empire Boy Scouts of America; on the Chatham County Housing Code Board of Adjustments and Appeals; on the Administrative Board, Finance Committee and Buildings & Gro
