Unfortunately, this is going to be short; much like our time in the shop.
With excellent charity shops in the vicinity, this one falls flat. We were met with the smell: the one which would have lurked in the majority of charity shops a few years back; that unpleasant, ominous waft. Now, with the general quality of second hand shops greatly improved, there's no excuse for that whiff as you come through the doors. Whilst rag may not bring in huge profit to shops, it is still additional income, and the shop is all the better for quality control. - There is nothing more off putting to the second hand shopper than that dreaded smell.
The shop was a little messy and chaotic which did not make for easy browsing. The staff member was also discussing personal issues on the phone and did not greet us in anyway.
I think that if this shop got rid of poorer quality clothes as they come in, it'd be on its way to a third star. As it stands, it's a disappointing two. read more
